    why do you want to take the pan off? why are you even unbolting the pan? You should really read through some other threads on this subject. Many people have said several times (including myself) the shaft is NOT supposed to be centered in the hole. It's near impossible to make it that way...

    stock thermostat is 195 which means it should run at least that all the time. 230 is starting to get pretty warm, I don't think I would want it above that. But certainly 220 is nothing to worry about.

    I still fail to see what the problem is. I am helping the user but poking him for being an ass. Anyway, you don't have a 302 block if it's not where Joel said it would be. Post some pics and we'll be able to tell what it is most likely. My guess is a 4.0 V6.

    I think bushing holes wear out when people put their fat *** weight on the door, putting stress on it. It's not as common as the bushing itself wearing out, but it does happen.

    You should tack weld the bushing on anyway because that will keep it from rotating inside the hole of the door. Only the pin should be free to rotate for longevity sake.

    Maybe you should stop screwing around, scrape the grease off and open your eyes to look for the numbers before you ask. He gave you a very good picture and description of where the casting number is. It IS that easy, so not only do you sound like an ass, but.... you fill in the rest.

    No need to bump your thread less than 2 hours after your last post dude. Also, I think you should have paid more attention when D.Hearne said 220 is not that hot. Will it overheat? What happens if you get on it for 15 seconds? What happens if it idles for 15 minutes? Don't waste your money...

    It's perfectly alright to remove the spacer. Just make sure you don't have any interference elsewhere, like the throttle linkage getting hung up on anything.
