    Small town car show

I agree. Your car takes a good photo anyway. 4 out of 5 people wont see the little things you see wrong with the car. My car is also a 20 footer. When I mention things wrong with my car most people didn't even have a clue it was there.

Anyone ever heard of these heads?

I already own the heads. They were on the car when I got it from my dad. :D I hate to say it, but my '66 stang only put down 255hp and 245tq :rlaugh:to the tires on a mustang dyno about 5 years ago. I have made some changes since then and now I am limited to the heads. I wish I would have made a...

Anyone ever heard of these heads?

For some reason I am not impressed with the "13's". I thought about trying to work the bowls and gasket match them myself. I would hate to **** them up though.

Anyone ever heard of these heads?

All the specs you listed are the same for this head. I was told at one time that the pro 1 heads I have are similar to if not the same as the J302 heads. My question now is who can port them? I think I would save some coin if I could get these ported rather than buy new AFR 185's... which leads...

Anyone ever heard of these heads?

The heads are Alan Root (AR incorporated) PRO 1 aluminum heads. My dad bought them in '89. The numbers that I have for them are .500 lift exh. 194 and 228 int. 1.94 int. and 1.60 exh. size valves. 58cc combustion chambers. No part numbers. First I was wondering if anyone has a set of these or if...

rebuilt toploader and hurst comp. plus shifter

I have a completely rebuilt small block wide ratio toploader for sale. I have it in my '66 coupe and its been in there for two years. I know that sounds like a long time, but I doubt I have 1000 miles on it. I don't drive the '66 much. In fact I only put 50+ miles on it this whole year. It comes...

    Soo a 275 might tuck hmm. . .

I'm with you... they are all different. My passenger side wheelhouse is bigger than my drivers, opposite of yours.

    Soo a 275 might tuck hmm. . .

The inside looks ok, but the outer lips will definetly have to be rolled. I am considering the wheelhouse mod as well. I have trouble getting my 225's to go without rubbing.

    overdrive unit?

I am in the process of installing a Hone-O-Drive unit in my '66 coupe. The hone unit is not available anymore but is very easy to install and user-friendly. You can get a Gearvendors unit but it will cost some big coin. It all depends if you want to keep the original tranny or not. Most people...

real quick, what spacers for 17" bullit wheels

That is the exact problem I ran into on my '66 coupe. I have the GW uppers and never did get the sn-95 bullits to fit. I believe I spaced them out 1 inch and they still hit. I then sold the wheels. I have wondered if the 1.25" spacers would do the trick...

    OMG HEEEELLLPPPP!!!

An easy way to make sure you are on the compression stroke is to pull the #1 spark plug and put your thumb over the hole as someone turns the engine over. Once you feel the air being pushed past your finger you are on the compression stroke. Now you can look at the timing pointer to find TDC of...

    Hone-O-Drive anyone?

I was thinking the same thing. The machine shop could probably make the same thing with stronger material too.

    Hone-O-Drive anyone?

I didn't tear it completely down. I did however take the two cases apart and pulled the planitary gear assembly so you could get a good idea of how it works. Hope you guys like...

    Hone-O-Drive anyone?

Do you want some pics of the inside? I still need to torque the two housings together so I could pull them apart one more time if you want a pic of the guts.

    Hone-O-Drive anyone?

Cool stuff to see for sure. Here is a link I found on the internet that has some info about the hone unit. http://www.stangerssite.com/honeodrive.html I'll go out and snap some pics as soon as the kids are in bed.
