why did you buy s197 vs. cobra

Yes, laser red. I wanted to keep it but no additional garage space. I offered it to my brothers and then a couple co-workers. There was one fellow I forgot about who would have bought it. So I traded it in for present car. It was really cherry; kept the window stickers, sales...

    Opinions on spacers needed

I wanted to put H&R spacers on the rear of a 2001 Cobra because the rear wheels looked way too far tucked in so it was a pure aesthetic sort of thing. I mentioned it to my tire dealer Wheel Works and they said if I brought something like that to them they would refuse to install them...

why did you buy s197 vs. cobra

I had a 2001 Cobra for 6 years before I traded it in for the '07. The look, ride, and feel of the '07 is different I realize you can't compare a 2001 to a 2003-04 but I felt it was a great car that had been piled up on a Ford Fairmount frame. In fact, that's what I nicknamed my Cobra. I...

    New to StangNet

I'd suggestion wider rims, fatter tires, and lowering springs. When I first bought my car, driving around in the stock wheels/tires was like riding on bicycle tires. Oh, and welcome aboard. Happy spending $$$$

Just ordered my NEW bamachips tune !

I have the hand held SCT one which plugs in under the steering wheel. I'm using 89 torque and the shift points are way better. The car used to upshift too soon. Unfortunately, there is still some throttle lag in there.

Just Saw New Mustang at LA Auto Show Press Day

My nephew told me that there is a hybrid fusion which has an interesting thing on the dash. Its a tree. Its green with leaves. If you leadfoot it, the leaves turn brown and fall off. :rlaugh:

StangNet Releases THE Official images of the 2010 Ford Mustang

I like the front end but it will take a close up look for a final opinion. There does appear to be a lot going on as far as black plastic. I also wonder how many of the holes are fake. I don't care for the rear except the sequentials. The plus side is the interior which is supposed to have...

    Mustang SUV?

With all due respect, I would have kept the Expedition. As far as looks, there sure is a lot goin on. :)

Yes, welcome aboard. Don't forget the rims, tires, and springs. I saw a Challenger awhile ago. It's quite a large car and it dwarfs the Mustang as far as size. :SNSign:

    My first Ding.

Well, I was in a parking spot, no one across from me so I thought I'd just pull forward and get out. I forgot there was a raised curb type surround where a tree was planted. Anyway, scrunnch.

    Say it ain't so.

I must be obsessive compulsive but I haaaaaate dings, especially one right smack dab in the middle of a door panel. On my previous car, I had the PDR and the technician also smooth out some wavy parts of the door panel as well. So back to the obsessive compulsive. When I see something like...

    Rear Roush springs

Thanks Grey! I first saw the useage of the word on a Triumph TR7. I admit I used the word loosely but am glad I used it correctly. $100 dollar words are fun. :D

    Rear Roush springs

Of course, the Roush rear springs get rid of that pesky rear wheel gap and levels the car out. If that's what you want, the front gap will be just a bit bigger than the rear. I bought a set of H&R Sport Springs (a set of fronts and rears). I first put on the rears which lowered the rear 7/8"...

    Interested in buying a Mustang

I suggest going for a GT. I test drove a rental 07 v6 and the mileage was lousy. Of course this was street driving in Los Angeles but I did do some highway miles on it. The mileage on a GT is not that much different. I have 11,000 miles on my GT (not broken in yet?) and I got 25 mph straight...
