    8-bolt Flywheel for 4.6

Is there a reason WHY you don't want to just resurface the flywheel that you have? Note, I do have an 8 bolt flywheel 10.5" clutch that is left over from my Windsor/Romeo swap.

low compression in bank 2, bank 1 is perfectly fine

Did you take pictures? Why is this important? Because it has happened more than once that the cam sensor "bump" on the left hand cam was mistaken for a timing "dot" resulting in an out of time for the left hand bank. Obviously if the incorrect timing mark has been used the person doing the...

Need some help cars not right

This is where I would start the trouble shooting. Why? The PCM needs to know what the true air temperature and motor temperature are. This is necessary for the fuel "enrichment" to work correctly. The DTC would indicated the ECT sensor return is shorted to power or open. Do you have an...

    SOHC valvetrain question

Just an FYI. The SOHC 2v spring compressor tool is very cheap ($25). Seems like a smarter idea to me. I have this tool and it works well. The springs are not hard to remove on the SOHC 2V motors. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/oes-24434

    96-98 flywheel

Yes to both questions. Check out car-part.com for some sample salvage yards in your area that might have a suitable flywheel from a 1996-1998 Mustang GT

02 gt bogging down in 2nd gear when traction control light comes on

Traction controls works by: Applying the rear brakes. The PCM will pull timing. Results. Lowering of power. IE, bogging down. If the traction light is coming on, the obvious conclusion is that traction control is active. To me it seems like you are at a risk of "over thinking" your...

1996 Saleen Starting Issues Help Please

My vote. Is that you failed to install the jumper in the neutral safety switch (NSS) into the no longer used in the automatic transmission DTR range transmission C106 connector. The jumper is between the R/LB and W/PK wire. You may be getting power at the main starter terminal but I doubt you...

Why did my downhill driveway kill my car?

My vote. You have water or some other trash in your gas tank. Parking down hill caused the water to collect near the fuel pump pick up. Obviously the motor will not run well on water instead of gas. Check the filler neck for signs of rust through. Check the filler neck gas tank grommet for...

2003 Mustang adjustable illumination fuse keeps blowing

If this were my car I would pull the head light switch and inspect for evidence of over heating. If any is found replace the head light switch. These fail at a fairly high rate. If none is found I would use a regular test light to see if there's a short to ground on the circuit. Pull the...

    Electrical Ccrm?

Why guess? Test! IF there is confirmed 12 volts at the trunk mounted IFS cut off switch, THEN the fuel pump portion of the CCRM is working. Note, on V6's the fuel pump is only active for a few seconds after initial key on. So it's necessary to test for IFS power at key on.

    Backfire after cleaning injectors

+1 on above. In addition. Double check that the spark plug wires have been routed correctly to the correct cylinders. If run to the wrong cylinders this could cause "timing" problems.

    Possible CCRM Issue

Yes it could be. However in your case it may be a worn out lock cylinder AND a worn/bad ignition switch. Both can be changed by the DIY'er and do not require reprogramming PATS. But why guess? Test! I/P fuse #18 is the pilot duty ignition circuit. Power in this fuse is what "causes" the...

Mustang tumbler gets stuck in certain positions

Suggest fixing this before it breaks the key off inside the lock cylinder. Once this happens the job goes from a straight forward DIY'er to a nightmare. You need to know if the problem is in the lock cylinder or inside the electric ignition switch. If this problem is the ignition switch it...

I found out fuel pressure regulator had it's vacuum line disconnected, what's the chances of it being damaged?

Without a working intake vacuum referenced fuel pressure regulator the AF ratio will be chronically rich at idle. This is needed. Turn the key on/pause/off several times WITHOUT cranking. Does this improve starting? If so, suspect fuel pressure leak down as the problem.

    Possible CCRM Issue

Is there power in/out of fuse I/P #18 with the key on? If not, suspect a problem in the ignition switch. IF there's no power at CCRM pin #13, THEN the problem is not in the CCRM. But you state there is pin #13 power. So we need to confirm a good ground at pin #15 (black with white stripe)...

PATS Issue or something else (Bunch of HO2S Codes)

If asking for an educated guess. Fuse F2.2 and F2.8 have power going in and out. That the O2 heaters are working. Confirm power at the O2 sensors. Confirm there isn't a short to power at the O2 signal return line. Confirm there is ALWAYS power to the trunk mounted IFS switch during the entire...

    Clutch Safety Switch Location?

Getting a picture for you will be a tough order to follow. The clutch safety switch is located under the dash above the pedal pivot boxes. Why don't you post of picture of the area above your clutch pedal?

    96 gt electrical issue

Does your car have a factory ACTIVE theft system? If so, think that the problem is that the car "thinks" it's being broken into. What can cause this? How about a bad door ajar switch.
