    Though it doesn't sound like you had much of a choice, disconnecting the battery on a running EFI vehicle is a big no-no - it can create a voltage spike that can fry electronics. It seems like what you're saying is that there was an electrical issue that was causing the vehicle to continue...

    when i bought the car is was totaled and the only available k member was from and 03 cobra...so i bought it..stuck it on and lowered the v6 back down on it..everything fit just fine then later stuck in a 4.6 dohc.and that fit just fine now its got the 302 in it..and i still havent had to change...

    i think there may be a few front wheel drive cars like the 2.0 contour...but not 100% sure but definetly check on all your 1/2 ton and bigger ford trucks...i think the ranger is a little different i do know that the mini vans and such wont work they have a 3 bolt mount that there is really no...

    i do belive you may be wrong, and right the fuel pump was jumped to a wire that was still hot when the key was off and the alternator was hooked up with the belt in place....the power was back feeding through the excite wire....causing everything to still be hot when the key was off...

    yeah, i know. i found the reason the fule pump was staying on when the key was off it was a jumper wire i forgot to take off for the fuel pump and when i turned the key off it kept feeding fuel so it just ran and ran.....but the vacuum line was a whole other story...i could keep it...

    when i'm done it will be all cleaned up and pinned back to either the firewall or the fender aprons...i really didnt want anythign in the engine back...but oh well..... seriously though i may hook that canister up soon as i get one... so the only one that i should do somethin about...

    wiring my o2 harness from scratch....the hot wire for this says it is to be "hot in run" can this wire be hot in run/start or just run?

    jesus after all this i find i forgot to hook up a vacumm line..thats why it would stay running...as for the fuel pump i ran a 12v switched to a toggle switch then to the pump screw the relay!

    found a jumper wire that i had forgotten to pull off it was at the eec relay for the injectors... but the pump continues to run if i hook 12v switched to the eec even after the key is off....sounds like a relay problem but which one?...also a new symptom...the car still has the factory CCRM...

    think i may have found the culprit for some reason my wire that used to turn off when the key was off is now hot when the key is on but if i disconnect the battery and then reconnect it it stays off until i turn the key back on still dont know why but i found the problem so now...
