    so its that damn easy......? i have set here and read for the past 3 hrs about the 3g alternator install... and from what i gather here its almost stupid easy..... so what everything i have read is saying here is out of the "D" plug there is 3 wires....hook the white/black...

    so here is a dumb question as well if an alternator has a built in regulator then why the hell does it need all these damn other wires? would it be easier to just hook up the wire to the back and be done with it..... oh and yeah remember i wired a 302 fuel injected to a 99 mustang.... 3/4...

    so what your saying is.. orange/black yellow and green all go the the battery while the white/black is to be grounded or run to the small single wire clip on the alt?

    first off i have done all my searches on here and elsewhere....i am wiring an alternator from scratch........ all i have is the part and the "D" connector with 6 inches of wire...i dont however have the little grey plug..yet........... i really dont care that this wire hooks to this color...

    eec power ground problem need a wiring genius

    never mind i got it....seemed there was a broken wire that i missed and was grounding to a painted surface cause a low voltage reading at my grounds.. therofore causing it to spark when i hooked it up....

    Runs fine with mass air unplugged

    it might run fine but its not good for it...your gonna make a whole lot of trips to that gas station so plan a faster route with that maf unplugged and if you need a 30lb maf i'll hook ya up with one...i got 6 or so...

    heres the deal i just shoved this 302 into my 99 mustang its fuel injected btw... eec is an A9L and as far as i can tell i have a 91-93 eec harness now being that this stuff is older i have to hard wire it into the car....i have evrything else figured out and already had a running crappy...

    as far as a ground from your block to the firewall...it aint gonna matter if thats there or not..if your even hearing a click it means something is working right just not enough juice..its not a problem with your wires...you have a dead cell in your battery...go get another one... ...and trying...

    see i also thought of the cam bearings...being that the block has 130k on it... a good friend of mine...goes by the name speedy hes out of quincy pa , and is a hard core mustang guy... said that if it is in fact a cam bearing it would eventually wear itself in..and i also asked him about...

    already thought of that its in nuetral had to do that to bolt on the drive shaft also i just added a lil oil to the mix seemed to loosen it up a bit..not a whole lot...just a bit

    first of all its a 99 mustang that i dropped in an 87 mark 7 ho roller motor i installed a b303 cam and added an edlebrock typhon intake manifold 75mm tb 30lb injectors and a set of bbk headers now while trying to set the harmonic balancer back to zero to install the distributor it gets...
