    Sounds to me like the engine overheated to the point the oil broke down,the motor is seized,and you are destroying the starter gear against the now immobile(frozen) flywheel. :shrug: If that is the case the Probe is dead... :(

    James, I actually changed out IAC to a new unit. How do you do a base idle/computer reset? Is this just a matter of removing the neg. battery cable for a few minutes then reattaching? Thanks!
