    Engine Oil Cooler

My cooler was mounted in front of the rad useing strips of flat stock but I since changed that and mounted it lower in the front end where the lower vents are in the middle and it mounts to to the lower rad support and bummper cover. You can see it at the bottom from the front if you look but...

    who has switched from a h-pipe to a X?

To the best of my knowledge the x pipe may give a bit more top end, but the h sounds better and is good at low and high rpm's. The difference power wise I doubt you would feel. I think it is mainly the sound, but like I said the X is supposed to be a little better performance wise. Most prefer...

What year starter to get for upgrade to my 88

I heard that early 90's Ford trucks have mini starters....I cannot give you any specific models to look for but you could see by comparing starters. I imagine V8's maybe others?

    Front sway bar mounts

I took mine off and put a bar from from rail to rail in the front by the rad to help make up for the loss. Just the A arms are not tied to each other anymore, but having the front frame rails tied in should help a lot. It was easy, I just used an old curling bar, cut to fit. Looks sweet, but I...

    underdrive pulleys

It would be all looks the weight difference can't be that signifigent, and considering what they are would not be a factor. The aluminums would not rust, and look better longer. The cheapest would be good enough.....I think. I have read many times that they do make a difference and many people...

    factory tach not working

As Far as I knew you want to find the dark green wire under on the cluster and tie into that, all your description does is confuser me. Like I said find the dark green wire and attach the wire from the coil and ignition into that one. That is as simple as I can say it.

    plasma needs air?

You can get them for much, much, much less than that, I can assure you that, I am only guessing, but a few grand and less for a shop one for sure. A good one would be a few grand. I am a union ironworker and our union hall trade school shop has one and if they cost that much, I assure you we...

87 lx 2.3 anyone need anything????.....

I cannot figure out how to post in the for sale section so for fear of "reprisal" I will say I am the proud owner of the above mentioned car that has severe frame rot and most of the front end chassis has been taken from the car and I got it for the 3.73's and the carpet. All the rest of the...

    Optima Mounting

I have read that relocating to the trunk makes it 60lbs difference because the weight you lose in the front and add to the back. I did tis and mounted my solenoid in the passenger kick panel where my redundant computer was. (carbed 85) No wires in the engine bay, just starter, ignition and coil...

    power source for electric choke?

It is one of the little prongs on the alt I do not think it is marked but, put a wire to find out. There are only a few prongs on the alt....one feeds it from the relay, bigger one....it should be one of the other ones near that one.....many times some do not get used..

He is talking about the 302 V8.....5.0 and it was around long before the 80's, Have you not heard of all those "Pinto like" 302'ed Mustang II's?.....actually in 81&82 I believe, they did not even make stangs with 5.0's.Power wise 157hp in 83 175 in 84, 180 auto and 210 5speed in 85, 200 in 86...

Will 15X10 Draglites fit a stock fox??

They will fit as long as your tire width is no more than 11" or so. You may have to flip your quad shocks around. For sure 275 50 15 tires will fit even 295's have been known to fit that is almost 12" wide. You might get a little rubbing going over bumps...might not, you could always "roll" the...

Does 1 of them K&N veted oil caps do anything??

They are PCV valves....long story short, they vent the crank case gase through the valve covers. Normally they connect into the air breather and have a filter. I take it they are not really necessary as you can get different ones. I assume as long as it has a opening to vent and no dirt can get...

    Oil Pressure Sending Unit Plug

I would suggest you just get one, they are cheap and just thread right into the block.....it makes it real simplified and easy. I do not remember rreading in the manual any other place though there likely is another way. None easy I know of.

I have had that happen to other cars(not Mustangs) and they did it no problem. Seriously...

    electric fan?

So I take it you want it to run all the time? If so hook it up to a wire that shuts off with the key. In most cases any yellow wire shuts off with with the key, most red wires are direct power......headlights, horn etc. The easiest way , I think would be run a wire from your starter solenoid on...

    electric fan?

I got one from a late 80's Pontiac 6000 it looks great, blows strong an fits like a glove with a few longer thin bolts. This is my experience, I choose to spend money on other things, this fan works fine for me.
