    I think you should go for it,if anything at least you get some more experience turning wrenches on your own car.Any body that tries to sway you from trying it,especially guys that pay to get there oil changed, i wouldnt classify as a true gearhead.You cant beat boost from a well running turbo...

    Or sump your tank,run a line to the filter,then to pump then all the way up to your reg underhood.Thats what i had on my 90 notch that was carbd.Easy ,clean and effiecient.

    Maybe you would be better off with a fuel injected car?Getting an 84 auto/vert with bolt ons is MAYBE a 15 flat car,far from performance.Especially if your on a tight budget,i would just save for a 87+,its alot better starting point.

    I just checked the specs its a 72 gph pump and doesnt require a regulator ,so i would get a new one.No way its a efi pump.
