    does this sounds fishy?

This is the first I've heard of this. PayPal is essentially an online bank. Only tranactions you approve are withdrawn from the account. Disputes can be filed but follows strict protocol.

Boss Rod 5.0 Assembly Has Begun

I finally had a chance to drop by FPS last week to pick up my crank so engine assembly has begun. I painted the block on Sunday. I've never seen the approach I took to paint the block before and thought you may enjoy some pics. The block is a new 5.0 roller with standard bore. I picked it up...

    does this sounds fishy?

Nowadays, even certified checks can be fraudulent. Best bet is to use Paypal. It is guaranteed cash in your account. You have to pay ~3% in fees but it is worth it not getting ripped off. I've done about $6k in business over the past several years without a hitch.

    Radiator Tranny Cooler

Proximity isn't the problem. It just has to occur in a system that was designed for it. Use of Steel Braided lines is a must. I ran an external oil filter on one of my earlier builds and chassis vibration ended up chaffing the line and I ended up spraying oil in the engine compartment and...

    Radiator Tranny Cooler

I'm a little confused but think you want to cool your engine oil via the radiator (heat exchange). If you want the heat exchange capabilities of oil/water cooler, you should purchase a unit that is dedicated for this purpose. Fluidine makes several units...

Rear Main Seal/Oil pan gasket compatibility

When I ordered my Canton pan, they recommended using a 4-Piece gasket. I've always used these in the past with no leakage. I pulled this from their site.

You might try Cougars Unlimited. I purchased a set of 67 cougar taillights and plan on using their complete digital sequential system. (as soon as I figure out how to mount the angled lights on the flat mounting surface of my '66). http://www.thuntek.net/cougars_unlimited/

    Any suggestions on parts?

I see two potential problems with your build if you go on the juice: 1. Hyperutectic Pistons 2. Gapless Rings If you stay with a smaller shot <100 then you may be OK. Anything more and the added cylinder pressure may destroy your pistons. All the power won't make any difference if...

Official 'Let's discuss Torque vs HP thread...

So if I dyno at 410 HP and 400 TQ, I'm driving rice? Now if you make 150 HP and 100 TQ - Then it makes sense. My point is there are plenty of high horsepower cars that have much lower torque ratings. Not many of them would be considered rice burners.

    racing stripes and sizes...

The reason the ralley stripes are tapered is to account for the perspective angle when viewing the stripes. If the stripes were a constant 10" front to back, they would look narrower towards the cowl than on the nose when viewed from the front. Another option would be a stripe scheme used on...

    Shelby Gauge Pod

The gauge pod is available from Maier Racing. I think they fit the '65 without any modifications. They have to be slightly trimmed for a '66. The gauge supports can be purchased from http://www.mustangdepot.com/
