Anyone use the BeCool radiator from Summit?

Prices I quoted were for the radiator only. They do include mounting hardware. Check out the AFCO site for more details. BTW... I double-checked the AFCO price for the '66 and the price is $550. There are a couple of guys on this board that have installed the generic $180 aluminum racing...

Anyone use the BeCool radiator from Summit?

Dislikes: Price!!!! OMFG You can get a generic AFCO aluminum radiator for $180. AFCO also makes drop in units for ~$450. Automatic, High Performance Griffin's are available from Street or Track for $549.

How much difference do gears REALLY make?

Wheel height has no affect on gear selection. Tire height does however. Example A typical 245x45x17 tire has a 25.68" tire height. (17" Rim) You can purchase a 26x9.5x15 slick that has a 26" tire height. (15" rim)

flat tops and stock head compression....

~4 tenths so if it was originally 9.0:1 it would be 9.4:1 This is changing the deck height from 8.206 to 8.190. Again, this is using stock components which he is not. The .040 oversized pistions could have a different compression height. Best thing to do is mock it up and measure.

flat tops and stock head compression....

Need more specifics such as compression height, deck height, rod length, stroke, bore, gasket thickness, valve relief size in pistons, head combustion chamber size. Without these, you are just guessing. Using the following specs: Bore 4.040 Stroke 3.00 Deck 8.206 Rod Length 5.090...

    Engine vibration on 65 Rebuilt 289 2brl

So is the the engine or drivetrain? If it only vibrates at speed, then it is more than likely a drivetrain problem. Rough high-speed idle could simply be a carb adjustment.

    Engine vibration on 65 Rebuilt 289 2brl

Even if it is way off it can be done. I purchased a used SFI 28oz. flywheel. Even though it was marked as a 28oz. it was found to actually be a 50oz. once it was put on the balancer. FPS was able to remove excess material to balance the assembly to 28oz. They also had to remove a bit from the...

    Engine vibration on 65 Rebuilt 289 2brl

First make sure all of the wires are attached and seated all the way down. Ask the engine builder what cam was installed. Early models have different firing order than late models. This determine how to connect the wires on the distributor. Double-check the wiring order on the distributor...

    Shelby GT 350R Front valance

Sorry to say it's not my car. Simple enough to remove the stocker and sent to the plater. Can't imaging it costing much more than $20.

how will these parts compliment eachother?

You can't go wrong with either of the AFRs. Big difference is the intake flow rating. You may give up some low end torque to gain high RPM HP with the 185s. But with the 347, you will probably not miss it. The added cubes really make a difference down low. 165s are a bit cheaper. Looks like...

    HP Estimate

No way it is 350. Sounds more like a stock 5.0 with headers. Carb is too big. Limiting factor are the stock heads. I'd say that the 250-275 range is about right. Torque should be in the 300 range. http://www.jason.fletcher.net/tech/hotrod91/hotrod91.htm To begin the test we outfitted...

2000 4.6l cobra crate engine swap into 65/66 mustangs?

True, but if you already have a good set of heads and intake, there is no reason for a long block.
