    Strange power seat problem

I had a very similar problem in my 96 GT. Check your seat tracks, clean and lube them with silicone grease. They are known for wearing out. The flimsy 4-way switch may be bad though; it drained my battery and fried the electric motor. I finally went with a manual seat track off a 93 GT and...

Who has an FR500 Steering Wheel????

I have an FR500 steering wheel and I like it. It is a little squishy but it feels good, especially when you first install it. As mentioned before it is the part of the car that you "interact" with the most so why not get one? I'd buy another but the Cobra wheel looks sweet so I'd try for one...

PI swap not starting.. NEED ANSWERS

 That is partially true!!!! I forgot how I wired it so I had to reconnect them like the Chiltons manual and they did work, but it was different than the original! Maybe I just got lucky. You should change that coil pack first. Even the manual says you should replace all broken and...

    How to improve ride quality?

Without getting into the math to explain it all this is what happened: When you cut your front Bullit springs one coil you went from a 600#/in rate to approx. 680#/in spring rate. You basically raised the spring rate a lot! Your best bet is to get some new lowering springs under 600# or get...

How to check struts/shocks for failure with stiff springs

If you have over 50k miles, your stock shocks are shot. Replace them with some KYB's and you will be much happier. Unless you do high-speed driving you won't notice a difference.

Just Got 2003 Mustang GT Convertible, QUESTIONS

This isn't a mod but get some new shocks because the factory ones wear out after 30k miles. It made a huge difference on my car. Some front Cobra brakes work real well on these cars with the ABS and you can get them for fairly cheap. Also you don't need fancy rotors, the factory 13" Cobra...

    What to do?

Sounds to me you got time on your side. Get the Mach 1 since you have your heart set on it but don't plan on doing any engine mods for a while since they will be EXPENSIVE and you will have car payments. The nice thing is you won't need to do any mods since the Mach 1 is a very cool "factory"...

    subframe connectors?

I believe your Mach 1 already comes with factory SFC's but I doubt they are full length. You prolly need to upgrade your shocks if you have over 50k since the factory ones wear out fast. I happen to like the Mach 1 springs since I put them in my car and they handle great with no ground...

    Driver's Seat Removal Problem

I had the exact same problem. Use a 15 mm box wrench with the built in ratchet and a flexible head and slide it under the trck to get to the rear bolts. I removed the whole "boat anchor" power seat track assembly and installed the manual seat tracks from a 93 GT. Works great and no more...

Draining Battery = Bad Seat Switch

Just found out last week the reason my battery kept running down was a bad power seat switch that was stuck in the "on" position! Turns out it burned up my seat track motor and blew the 25 amp fuse. Lucky the car didn't burn down. Anyways went to the U-Pull-It wrecking yard and got a manual...

    Bullit or Eibach Suspension, Convertible

I'd go with the Bullit setup but I would install subframe connectors. The drop is only 3/4" so you won't have any clearance issues that you will with the other kit. I have Mach 1 springs (same rate as Bullit springs) on my 96 vert and I love them since the handling is better, the ride isn"t...

    93 MK VIII Motor

Hey guys, Been out a while but I always return for your expertise. Anyways, I can get a 93 Lincoln MK VIII motor for cheap from an associate and I am wondering is it feasible to use it for a build-up block for a PI engine? I plan to do an engine swap in the near future so just toying with...

    Rough Idle and DTC 0305

Need someone's expertise, my 96 GT is idling a little rough and I pulled a code with my handy-dandy Hypertech tuner and it says P0305; the manual states it is a "misfire detection monitor and/or circuit fault". Is this the IAC or what else causes this? I want to exhaust all possibilities...

Which speedo gear do I need?

If you have 3.55's, get an FRPP white speedo gear, they are cheap and durable. Mine has lasted over 3 years, no problems. However, I don't know about the 3.73's.

someone stole my h-pipe w/ o2 sensors, idk what to do

:Word: Last year at work two Toyota 4-runners had their catalytic converters sawed off in the parking lot! It was in the middle of the day and the SUV's were parked near the office. I guess the guys used a battery-powered Sawsall.

    Weird creaking/popping from passenger rear...VIDEO

I had the exact same problem. I inspected my UCA bushings, turned out the ones attached to the pumpkin were shot. Replaced them with stock ones (using a nfity tool) and problem solved. I got everything from Stang Suspension. They only recommend using stock bushings and UCA's. Good luck.

    Did you know....?

I was at the San Diego auto museum this past weekend, and they were showing an old video of how Ford made Mustangs. I could tell by the taillights they were 94-95 Stangs. Anyways, the video said the most popular color for Mustangs is red and 1/3 of Mustangs made are convertibles! The verts...
