What Muffler? yes this ? again

:nice: The Bassani Catted X will give your car a different tone not the muscle car tone most people like. I prefer the H-pipe sound but the Bassani X is a nice performance upgrade. I have Magnaflow muffs and I like that combo.

    aftermarket alarms are awesome

I've had my Viper alarm for 10 years in my Stang and 4 in my truck. No issues or theft attempts. Just replaced one of the remotes, it was worn out. No biggie. I always put Vipers in all my cars and have never had anyone attempt to steal my car or truck (knock on wood). Previously, the only...

    Diablosport Predator on the way!

You will notice a slight increase in power with the 93 octane tune. The gains will not be dramatic but if you got the tuner for cheap the gains are worth it. I got a used Hypertech tuner and it works pretty good in my GT but I'd be pissed if I paid full retail.

my 95 stallion needs more horses! Any ideas??? PLEASE

How about a 91 or 93 octane tune? Get a used hand-held tuner, I scored a Hypertec Tuner for $75 on Stangnet classifieds and it gave me a few horses.

    '97 GT owner-to-be!

:Word: You should try some MACH 1 or Bullit springs. They tighten up the handling but still give you plenty of ground clearance. Otherwise that car looks very clean. Also try a PI intake. FWIW, 1,800 rpm at 60 mph equals 3.27 gears. They are stock. Congrats.

Which springs to get for comfort?

Do the cheapest fixes first. Don't forget about some new polyurethane isolators. They will help and they are cheap along with some new shocks.

Biggest piece of crap vehicle you have ever owned

I have just the opposite luck with my 96 GT. Granted the tranny gave me some problems years ago, the plastic intake manifod busted, the convertible top rams leaked, then the sway bar broke (all fixed under warranty). Oh wait they are POS's. :rlaugh: That mustang is reliable and smooth...

Need Help... Convertible Top won't move!

Do you hear the electric motor turning? If not then your fuse is out. Your servo'motor may be shot or all your hydraulic fluid is leaking from the rams. You may be able to raise the top if you have someone pushing down on the button and you gently pull up on the top.

Fox or SN95 is more stable at high Speed

Foxes are cool, but they are aerodynamic as a brick. My bone-stock 96 GT did fine at 120+ mph, surprisingly stable. Part of it is due to a stiffened platform which is why SN-95's are heavier and they are more streamlined.

    Ford 70 mm Throttle Body

Thanks bro. That was exactly what I needed. Problem solved.:nice:

    spring install/isolators?

:Word: :Word: :stupid: I agree. I would rather cut the springs and use polyurethane isolaters than run without any isolators. You are a glutton for punishment if you don't use isolators. I use polyurethane isolators and they work better than OEM rubber ones.

Sweet Smell Coming from Vents...Coolant? Oil?

It is not too bad. The driver's side is tricky though. The valve cover gaskets are rubber and re-usable but it depends if anyone did work on the car and torqued them correctly. Use a torque wrench and tighten them slowly all at once to specified torque per the owner's manual. You can also...

    Ford 70 mm Throttle Body

Just a question for those that know. I installed a Ford 70 mm TB from a 5.4, it is NOT FRPP. There is a little more power and the exhaust tone changed (very cool) but the RPM's "hang" for several seconds at about 1,200 rpm's before it goes to 800. It is a little annoying. Will a dyno-tune...

    autometer fuel pressure gauge removal

I don't know the thread size so you would have to remove the adapter and go check who has a threaded plug the same size. Home Depot def does not carry a Schrader valve. You're in luck though. I have a spare from another fuel rail. If you want it for just the shipping costs PM me. Later.

    mustang value '97 gt

Check the Blue Book. That seems high for an NPI pig. Consider the mods just to make decent power. Get a 99+ GT for a couple grand more.

Sweet Smell Coming from Vents...Coolant? Oil?

You have an oil leak in the engine compartment. It is probably your valve cover gaskets. Also check your PCV. I had a gasoline smell in my vents untill I figured out my fuel pressure sensor was leaking. For some reason the engine smells get into the stangs.

    autometer fuel pressure gauge removal

Nope, the Schrader valve is not under the adapter. You will need one OR if you can't find one just use a threaded plug to block the hole. No one will be the wiser.

Sweet Smell Coming from Vents...Coolant? Oil?

Antifreeze (corroded heater core) or refrigerant (corroded evaporator). Either way, you may have some AC/heater issues.

    autometer fuel pressure gauge removal

Yes you can unscrew it but you will need a Schrader valve to replace it. It looks like a typical bicycle tire air valve. Not much fuel will spill out when you unscrew the fitting and replace it with a Schrader valve. Just make sure you use a good sealant or it will leak. I used teflon tape...
