Looking for a Dual Master Cylinder for a 65.

Exactly what Dennis said. That is very smart of you to get rid of the single master cylinder. They are very dangerous. Ask me how I know.:jaw: I swapped mine(66 Mustang 4 wheel drum no power assist) to a 1967 Mustang dual master cylinder from Autozone. Very cheap and it has been working...

dyno results - My first time

Those are nice numbers!! :nice: A converter will mess with the dyno numbers. The dyno is a great tuning aid but we all know the dragstrip is the TRUE test of the engine/suspension/driver. I can't wait to see your times with the new mods.

    Fire and Ice

This thread is gonna be fun!! That engine sounds great for a road race car. I can't wait to see these things underway. Especially seeing how well the first one turned out. What engine do you have in mind for the coupe?

need help C4 Torque Converter choices

Sorry. The EDGE is waaaaay better than the TCI Breakaway. The TCI is an off the shelf converter. It's price and performance is just that too. "Off the shelf." Call Edge and give them all the specs (type of car, weight, engine size, cam, intake, carb, exhaust, gearing etc.) and they will...

need help C4 Torque Converter choices

I have had the TCI Breakaway and an Edge converter on the same car with the same engine. Absolutely no comparison! Get a custom converter. They do cost more but are well worth it. With any aftermarket converter definitely get a trans. cooler. They do make more heat. Heat is what kills most...

So why is this turbo kit so cheap?

Nevermind. I suggest nobody buys their f****** cheap a** turbos. Pardon the stars. lol These fly by night companies try to make quick money, have zero customer service, and end up going under. It sounds like they deserve it. Unless, of course you are building a cheap car to race on PINKS.

    Need some help...track times inside

Matt, your 60 foots are bad. That is what is keeping you out of the 13's. It's the only reason. With your engine and gearing, your 60's should be less than 2 seconds. First and foremost you have to have a set of sticky tires. Slicks are the ultimate in traction but DOT slicks or drag radials...

So why is this turbo kit so cheap?

No offense but DK832 was much cuter as a baby than you BottleFed:shock: That is a good price for a TWIN Turbo/Intercooled kit. Someone buy it and put it on their classic and let us all know how much money/fab work it takes to finish it. Then let us know how it performs. Someone needs to try...

    14" or 15" vs traction

Sidewall flex (or wrinkle) greatly helps a hard leaving stick car. Given the 2 tires I mentioned, the 14 inch will have slightly more sidewall flex because it has one inch of extra rubber in the diameter. Would it be enough to tell a difference in ET? Who knows? You would have to do a back to...

    14" or 15" vs traction

I would also go with the 15" just because there are many more drag tire choices for 15" wheels. The 14" Quick Time Pro (26/9.5/14) would give you an extra inch of rubber to cushion the shock of launch compared to the 26/9.5/15's, but I would still stick with the 15" for tire availability.

    Should I tub the Beast?

Using Rancho's in the rear you should start out in the middle of the range as far as settings go. If the shocks are too stiff they will not allow the rear suspension to work correctly to plant the tire. I have KYB's in the rear of mine and they are terrible for drag racing because they are WAY...

    mechanical advance only?

That sure is a lot of initial timing. Anywhere from 32-36 is a good general range for total. It will not hurt anything to run without vacuum advance. Most aftermarket distributors do not have them. But vacuum advance does raise the timing under part throttle conditions (driving down...

    Performance Increase

From what I have seen, the Y303's (if that is what you have) need help on the exhaust side so that is why I specified a split duration cam. You definitely do not need to go too big without knowing your compression ratio. Big cams like high compression. Low compression will favor a smaller cam...

    Performance Increase

You should look into Comp's Extreme Energy series cams. The XE268H specifically. They have faster ramp rates than older designed cams. The 268 has 224 intake duration and 230 exhaust which I would think would work very well with your heads. It has .509 and .512 lift. I had one in my car...

    Dyno video of my stang

That thing sounds mean muddslide!! That is gobs of torque. Get it tuned and add a little more boost and it would be downright scary.:nice: I would love to see what it does at the strip. Take it there soon and film it for all your buddies on Stangnet.:D

    oil pan problem

Do what D.Hearne said. Your new oil pan has slightly larger dimensions so it will take a little extra oil. Fill till it is in the normal range and drive.

    Best street heads?

Any of the aftermarket heads will work very well on the street from stoplight to stoplight. You would be pleased with any of them. For extracting every bit of power at the track I would favor the Twisted Wedge or AFR's. Since you will not be racing it, I would try to find the best deal.
