    @%@^&$!! Wheel hop??

It is wheel hop, it seems worse in the rain. As mentioned, it's the softer bushings in the control arms that are mostly the cause. Some is generated from the stamped lower control arm construction but mostly from the control arms rubber bushings. The lowers do help as mentioned, but that does...

    Mach 1 Hanging Idle

There was a SPECIAL SERVICE MESSAGE dated in 2003 that said that some Mustang Mach1s may have an intermittent high idle. It was caused by a damaged wiring harness that was on the left side near the rear of the transmission crossmember and mount. I think it was the connector or something rubbing.

Bullitt '08 Bullitt....would you mod it?

Yes I would, I had the SLP loudmouth for mine before I picked it up, I knew I was getting one, just didn't know where I was going to get the best deal. The thing I don't like about the Bullitt exhaust is the mid-pipe has an orfice in the crossover H. It's so small it makes the exhaust sound...

Mach 1 What you like see in next Mach1 in 2009 or 2010

I wouldn't mind, but I'd have to sell the '08 Bullitt and get it, and I'm likin' the Bullitt, but for a Mach1, I would sell! :flag: The new Mach1 would be sitting in the garage beside my slower '03 because the new one would have the biggest V-8, 4 cam, 32 valve, normally aspirated Engine Ford...

    HELP!

Maybe the Fuel Pump Shut-off Switch needs reset. It's located in the Drivers side footwell, by the hood release. The manual says turn the key off, check for leaks, reset the button, turn the key on, check for leaks wait a few seconds then turn it on and check for leaks again. Then try to start it.

I see you only have this one post and it was back in May, so did you ever get the Mach1? This may be too late but I have had my Mach since new, just turned 18k on it and I have filled it up everytime I have put gas in it and have checked every thank for the MPG. I even made up a spread...

    Mach 1 Hanging Idle

I have it too, I have the IAC plate installed, diablo tune like yours but it still hangs, It usually hangs at about 1000-1100 though for a few seconds before dropping to normal idle speed. It's bugs me that it does it, I wrote to diablo a long while ago asking if they could send me a tune...

    Mach 1 MACh 1 question

You are right, but I don't think I'll ever get used to the hydraulic feel ('none') over the cable. I had an '07 and put 25k on it, now the '08 Bullitt and it just never seems right. Everytime I jump in the Mach1 and take-off I feel right at home with the clutch feel, stiffer or not. Then, I...

Mach 1 what gear should I go with?

If your main concern is the 1/4 mile, 4.56's (don't fear the gear) If your main concern is to pull strong right to red-line in 4th gear, or road race, 3.73's. If your main concern is street play, 4.10's.

    steeda 4-bolt cc plates

I've had those Steeda's on my Mach for nearly 3 years, they are a great piece, if someone says that these paticular CC plates are junk, they have not used this model.

    Oil

Ford has the green oil in all their new Mustangs and the sooner you change it the more it's noticable. Also notice the filter is not marked like the FL-820-S that replaces it. They do this to determine if people change their oil or not when claiming warranty work. My new Mustang, '04 F150 and...

ramps for oil changing - why? how?

If using ramps I have a partially sloped driveway, so when positioned in the slope part, my car is level when on the ramps. Otherwise, when done inside the garage I use jack stands all around. A note to the slipping ramps, I've had metal ones and they do scoot when trying to get on them. I...
