    Engine Noise

    What mufflers are you running? Maybe they are burning out some and causing the extra noise?? When you get up to speed then, in a sense, you may be out running the louder noise so it's not as noticable in the upper gears. I know my Son's and my Mustang are louder at 2k than probably anywhere...

    Best trans fluid for the 3650?

    I found the non-synthetic Mercon ATF #XT-2-QDX as specified for the '04-up 3650's, at the '04 specified fill of 3.7L, to help considerably. I have been using it for a couple years now and I have no issues. Ford spec'd 3.8L (8 pints) of Synthetic Mercon ATF XT-2-QM for the '03 3650s.

    Yea, I didn't like that part of it either Mity so I tried the stock boot and like I mentioned using the white lithuim grease it slipped on without any damage to the rubber gromet or tearing the boot. Here's a pic from this morning:

    Auto-x'n the temp never went over the 206 either. Mine was set from the factory at 218 low and 228 high also.

    I did mity, I'll try to get a pic of it this week-end for you to see. It is a little tight to get the rubber groment from the stock boot over the stick but a little white lithium grease made it slide right down.
