    With a lot more than gt-40 heads.. Agreed.. Some of us over the age of 30 were around for the old 5.0 heyday.. The old 5.0 seems to run a lot faster now on the internet than I remember them running at the track back in the mid 90's..

    With gears your going to spin any street tire... as far as 4.10 vs 3.73 goes... well I have driven and installed both in several cars including taking 3.73 out of mine and installing 4.10s and it was a huge difference.. after driving the same car back to back with both I would never go 3.73s

    Not sure about him but i rather have a 4.6.. this is not 1996 plenty of parts for 4.6's now.. many reasonable builds and cheap lightweight aluminum blocks that can handle tons of power.. My favorite is the sn95 5.0 guys that have to put 5.0 all over the car to make sure nobody confused...

    Rear Control arm bushing replacement

    thats how I do them.. For the housing bushings I heat the shells with a torch and push the bushing out after it starts to melt.. then clean with a wire wheel and put the new ones in.

    On street tires your axles should be fine.. but the 28 spline stock axles can break on a good launch with DR's or slicks

    You should keep your 98 block with the smaller dish pistons and put some ported PI heads on your NPI block.. you will get a bump in compression as ninja said and that extra compression helps. I have just the stock PI heads.. I am now thinking of getting ported ones this winter.
