    engine swap help

im pretty sure you can. only thing i know is different is the iat/maf hookup, but you can use the old inlet tubing for that obviously.

Cylinder 1 misfire after pi swap.

i think if its a bad injector, you'll eventually get a lean code. i had a leak in my intake manifold before and it took 2 weeks for it to finally realize it was lean

    Help!!

even if the chain slipped you could have piston/valve contact. i think a stuck lifter could cause a valve to get stuck. u need to take it down again and maybe turn the crank by hand to observe whats going on in that driver side bank. though i dont have experience with noises like that, maybe...

    Help!!

how could the links be broken and not cause the chain to snap? there's a lot of instantaneous torque on those chains... i did my headswap all myself and was my first time, never had a problem. just gotta read the book right and research any grey areas

    Help!!

#1 cyl is passenger side front. you have the ticking from the drivers side. check ur plugs and plug wires on all cylinders. but it does sound like u have some bent valves if both ur damn chains came off while driving and you're hearing that sound. do u have stock pi cams? if not, do the cams...

    Help!!

omg... so both the timing chains slipped or broke? you probably bent a valve. that'll explain the clicking and misfire. make sure the oil pressure sending wire is connected onto the oil pump. it's a single wire, make sure it's not loose. check ur oil obviously. if it's flashing then...

    Help!!

you should feel a little bit more torque overall, but then it should pull harder in the upper rpm's. only way to be sure is to take that timing cover off and check it.

    Help!!

im just gonna say this. you dont NEED a tune. my car runs perfect, untuned! no detonation or anything. idle's perfect. power is all there. still a night and day difference than before. i've romped on it hundreds of times since i did them and no problem at all. i have 119K miles on my block and...

    3.55's on my stock stang?

nope. optional gearing on 96-98's was 3.27, not 3.08. those were auto's. mine has 3.27's stock.

    Help!!

yeah, but depends which one. the one on the drivers side goes to the EEC. the pass side goes to the gauges on 96-98's.
