    Shifters and warranty

    its a catch 22. the answer is no... unless you need tranny work done. so if your having issues with your clutch, tranny noise, or shift vibration.. put your old shifter back on. otherwise they will never know the difference with the stock boot and knob.

    i'll tell ya why.. because your gonna spend $2-300 on a dyno sensor install + initial run. if your not modding your car to the point of adding pulley's or custom tune that is a big kick in the balls. (not to say i don't agree with you)

    well maybe i'm biased because i own a cobra. and maybe soon to be 05 owners are biased because they are picking up a new stang. but i technically do not see how an 05 is within .02-0.3 of an 04 supercharged 4v cobra. and i'm trying to be objective here, i certainly am not getting my feelings...

    Does anybody else get the feeling that Ford tricked out the Motor Trend test mule? I mean, if what this guy says is true, then there is no way that a 300hp 05 is within 0.2-0.3 of a 390hp SVT Cobra. I don't care what kind of handling improvements you have none of them will compensate for 90hp...

    i don't think that were arguing. i'll give you 20hp!! besides that, my point is that it would take a LOT more hp for a mustang to take a vette. the mustang in general is a bargain. but the old svt was a bargain because you got all this power for around 40k, and that's compared to a 55k 400hp...

    Well I'm pretty aware of where they dyno.. because I own one ;) Stock cobras dyno around 350hp more or less to the wheels. A pulley, catback, intake, and tune will net you about 450hp to the wheels. Add a port job and your at 500hp. That's 500rwhp.. in an 03 Cobra, for about $1200 for...

    If an unexperienced driver.. yes. I've heard of cars running in the 10's with the live axle, but very good drivers behind the wheel. Expect to add another 5k to your bill for a new solid axle. I of course would just find one from a junkyard and rebuild.
