    Nope, my 82 gt will go all the way to 6000 rpms, then it just kinda poops out, so it will go that high, but it dosent like to run well up there. I barely go over 4500 anyway, all the power goes away after that on mine anyway, but the 83-85 4 barrels do much better than the 82 2 barrel.

    It dosent take that long to swap out a rearend. I Changed my rear end with my dad in like 3.5 hours. Brakes are the easyiest part of the job.     My 82 gt said stock gap is 42-46, and it really wants it in thouse ranges. I had one at 50 and it ran rich for a while. I replaced the set and put them all at 44, and I never had a prob. Before in my vick i never even gaped them and never had a prob. The stang seems to be very touchy.
