    Might be better to just use the bracket and pump that came with the engine and then just modify or carry over the lines. Maybe try to find a conversion kit. Keep it simple. Before you go altering the brackets, just try and do it the easy way.

    Rods are part of the bottom end. If you keep your boost at 8-10 psi, you should be able to get into the 12s with DRs pretty easily. Especially if you have a 5 speed.

You're gonna need trans work, fuel system work and modification, exhaust modifications, suspension work, some serious tuning, etc. Even for 600 hp you'll need some of that stuff.     Used engines go for anywhere from $400 - $1200. Add in $1K for the install. Building an engine, even the cheap route, will cost more when you factor in the price of install. If you're doing all the work yourself, then built is the way to go.
