my coupe has the same interior color...
and my previous 88 hatch had the same too. black/porno red. Gotta love it! I plan on adding some black carpet to mine to get rid of some of the red.
I am just assuming its the upgrade because the bracket has been notched and the blade thing is enclosed on the alt. How would I know for sure is there a part number on them? So both of those wires (black and black with orange) are + or -?
ok... I see a black wire and a black w/ orange stripe coming off the alternator on the same post, are these + or -? Is this what I should upgrade to 4 gauge?
Can you guys elaborate on the 4 ga alternator wire. I believe my car has an upgraded alternator (bracket is notched, enclosed design). What can I look for to make sure the wiring is sufficient. Is this a 4 ga fused power wire? Or just a 4 ga ground (off the alt)?
Depends on if the Vette owner knows how to launch from a start. I saw an unexperienced Z06 owner run a horrible 10.4 in the 1/8 mile on his first run. He just smoked the tires off the start.
Man I thought my old 88 5.0 got bad mileage at 14mpg. You would think that with the advancements in fuel injection technology that Ford would be able to invrease mpg without forfeiting power. Look at the LS1s, great fuel economy.
When replacing my motor mounts my Haynes manual says on automatic cars to disconnect the shift linkage. Is this necessary? If so, how do I go about doing this? Thanks!
On the labeling of the Mr. Clean it suggests to ONLY use the Mr. Clean soap becasue others may clog the dispenser. Not sure if its true or they are just trying to sell more soap?
