    sounds like detonation to me also. That really makes no sense that the stock tune would do that and the custom tune wouldn't. The stock tunes are really conservative on timing and A/F ratio.

    is it just surface rust? Try some steel wool and some mothers polish. Then buff with a terry towl.

    I have noticed since the install of the JPC Driveshaft I have a noise in first and reverse when lifting off the gas. The noise is only in those gears, and if you disengage the clutch the noise will stop. I wonder if the driveshaft is transfering more noise than the stock unit. Anyone else...

    I use a gasket on the rear also, but I also put a little RTV on both the cover and the housing and then put the gasket between both layers of RTV.

    I installed them last night, I can feel the difference and the car is much smoother. I would recommend this mod to anyone.

    I was trying to upload the ford instructions, but the file size is to large. The cabin air filter is located under the RH cowl To install a new cabin air filter, remove the RH cowl vent screen.

    take off the cowl, the filter is on the right I believe. When I get home thursday I will post the Ford instructions. I have them on my home PC.
