I'm running around 455rwhp until next fall then, new motor and hopefully around 60 rwhp..My 5sp needs to come out anyways, automatic is more consistant,,and faster with that much power to the wheels.
I am going to definatley pull my 5sp and either go with PA supercomp automatic with stall and transbrake or 4r70w with the same features this spring..I am just not sure about what is needed for this conversion. Does anyone make a complete conversion kit or do I just need to order all seperate...

If I could do it again, I would go pushrod...Problem around here is drive safe emission tests every 2 years and my car doesn't qualify under hot rod clause till next year..I'd go with 408...
#1 its not the block that's an issue. The block will handle over 500rwhp with no issue. Its the pistons and rods that are the issue. I have been running 455 rwhp on my stock shortblock for over a year with no issue. No detonation, 435 lb torque. Depends how good the tuner is...
