    If you send it, INSURE IT. Packages do occasionally get "lost". Especially when they have a vortech sticker on the box! :D

    HC = run rich. Return your timing to 10 deg. BTDC. It is possible your 02 sensors are at fault, any codes from the EEC? Can your bring your Fuel pressure down a touch? (2 psi or so) Is your smog pump hooked up? Are you pushing air into the cats?

    Well, we do have salt on the pacific coast. Where in Oregon? I belong to two Mustang clubs in Portland and might of bumped into the car (at the track or cruise-ins). Compression is a good indicator of motor integredity. If the head gaskets are gone then it makes it difficult to judge this.

    Speedo gear missing...now what???

    I personally would not feel comfortable knowing a plastic gear and a metal retaining lip were floating around in my tranny. Everytime I drove the car it would be like waiting for the other shoe to drop.

    How about an exhaust rattle? Pull up aside a wall or another car, push the clutch in and step on the gas. THe wall will help broadcast the sound back to you. I had something like this and it was a loose exhaust hanger.
