    WHAT KIND OF BRAKE PADS

Porterfield brake pads....I think E4 Race. I was really surprised at the difference. I think it was 300 bucks for front and rear...been 4 years, same brakes, but only 25K miles. As close to droppin anchor as you can get on stock rotors / drums!

Is there a way to tap into raw pre-regulated alternator voltage?

It doesn't help that you have under drive pullies. This drops your low RPM curent capability. I would not parallel fuse a single wire. I'm not sure I understand the advantage of this method???

Is there a way to tap into raw pre-regulated alternator voltage?

Oops. I let the geek out. Me bad. :D :OT: I just bought a new house. I actually have a two car garage (insert picture of a grown man crying here). I'm grinnin ear to ear. :D Too bad I have no money to buy car parts now. :damnit: Stupid Ford Dealership. I had the AC...

Is there a way to tap into raw pre-regulated alternator voltage?

The alternator produces an Alternating Current. This is not really useable for the stereo equipment. You need Direct Current. Lets talk amplifiers: Some amplifiers will utilize the standard 12VDC system to direct drive the speaker output. This is not very effective at producing large...

    High Idle...Again

That's quite a jump. Would be a big vacuum line... HISSIN is right. Look closely at the vacuum tree lines under the upper plenum, very prone to heat rot. Also, check the PCV line. I left this out once and started the car and it idled at 2500 rpm's like yours.

I second the IAB issues. Ever start your car without the iab? WOW!!! Scares the begeezes outa you.

Help! Idle is surging badly....tried replacing everything

How do you know the IAC is working? Have you measured a voltage at the IAC electrical plug? How did you set the idle? Any codes? What is the TPS voltage at idle?

Why do I have to start my car twice?

I was under the impression the IAC is not used during startup. I thought that a properly set idle adjustment would allow for the car to start with the IAC unpluged. At least that is how I do it. A correctly set idle does not use the IAC. I would look for vacuum leaks. Ford intended a...

That's a beautiful car. Absolutely imaculate.....oh wait I saw a swirl mark..... How does he know its the lowest mileage 93lx in the world? I've seen older cars with less miles (all from trailer to concourse). Estate? Gimme a break Mr. Vanderbuilt! Ebay sales hype....and turn...

    How to chek for blowby

Glad I can be entertaining. A leak down test is a valid test. My original answer is a gross test. I have seen blow by so bad the PCV valve chattes with every cylinder compression pulse and the pressure out of the oil filler would actually blow your hair back. :D

    How to chek for blowby

pull the oil fill cap while its running. If it blows your hair back you got blow by.

    prob NO one can fix

Pull the EGR valve and give it a good cleaning. You can leave the vac hose off (plugged of course) and see if there is a difference.

    prob NO one can fix

I can have two conductors. One is a 36 gauge wire, one is a 12 inch cross sectional diameter copper conductor. Both are connected to the same load and source. Current will flow through BOTH conductors, no matter what the voltage drop across each conductor (however, different they are, they...

    Heater Core Change out

There are differing opinions of what is correct. For example, for me the last top rear screw on the plastic box was just not reachable. But, with some "gentle" persuasion and some RTV I did alright.

    prob NO one can fix

I believe the 22K ohm is a feedback loop for the EEC. It connects to the high voltage side of the TFI. FYI elecricity will take ALL paths of conduction, not just "the least resistance" REF: Kirchoffs voltage law, Thevenin's theorm, Norton theorm.
