    What are the effects of bad o2 sensors?

    A bad O2 sensor will cause the car to run rich. Old stang use to stutter and would lack a ton of power below 3000 RPM. Changed O2 sensor, problem solved.

    Battery has full power. Everything has power and works to its fullest. Yea, it does make a single click sound when i turn the key. The first time i hooked the new starter up their was a spark around the driver side header area. Could this have been a problem? if so what can I check?

    replaced solenoid.....still not workin....could the wires have gone bad? pretty sure i wired it right. The whole starter couldnt have gone bad by wiring it wrong the first time, could it? It melted the old solenoid. Thanks

    Is the spade connector the small stud on the solenoid? I can scrap the old stock starter cable then, right?

    The harness that came with the starter has two wires in it. Do they go to the same place on the sarter and the relay terminal? or do they go to different places?

    Im gonna tear the intake and heads back off and make sure everythings cool before i try and start it again. Im thinkin the end of a Ring might of slipped out of the piston ring groove ad is lodged. because when i turn it it feels like 1 piston is dragging. I should be able to tell by looking...

    Everything moved freely when i was first putting everything in. Crank spun really great by it self and caps torqued. It was really good up until the last couple of pistons. Piston to wall clearance is .002 which is what KB calls for. The engine does feel tight when i turn it though, could it be...

    Starter began to smoke after a few more tries. Bought the whole complete kit together. The engine does feel really tight though. I use about a 2 foot long socket wrench to turn the crank. Do you suggest getting a high torque starter and lettin it rip to see what happens?

    Brand new optima red top still nothin...the ground wire is brand new.....should i find a new spot to ground it?

    The crank is alot harder to turn than my old 302 though. thats why im thinkin the starter doesnt have enough torque. I have a ton of voltage, i can any aplliance to its fullest.

    truck battery is the little side terminal only anyway. so your saying if i go get a new optima battery to replace the old motorcraft i bought it with....its should do the trick?
