    I'm not particularly fond of carbon fiber hoods, but that isn't what kills that hood for me. IMO, what makes it "rice" is the number of vents in the hood. If it had only two vents towards the front (similar to the Shelby GT 500 hood) it would be OK, but six vents is ridiculous. :nono:

    I got the 5 year/60,000 mile power train warranty on my 2007 GT. The dealer provides you with a supplemental warranty form that contains the warranty information, and a signature block to verify you have received the info. Both the buyer and the dealer get a copy of the signed form.

    Other than option packages, I don't see any major differences between the '06 and '07. One nice feature on the '07 is the auxilliary plug in the console for plugging in an iPod or other mp3 player.

    Build date, what number is your car??

    I believe what hotrodnut says is correct: the date on my window sticker is 6/21/06, and the quality control sticker on the spare tire cover says the cover was manufactured on 6/28/06. It's not possible to have a part installed before it is even made.

    I bought my stick GT about 12 days ago, and I hadn't driven a stick since 2002. Once you find out how the clutch engages on a new car, the rest comes back quickly: it only took me less than two minutes in the GT to get used to a stick again. :)
