Opinions wanted on a 351w build...

First off, I am a long time lurker and just wanted to thank everyone in advance. I have learned a tremendous amount from all the great experience and knowledge on here. :hail2: I just wanted some input on an engine build I am starting. Some quick background: The engine is going into my 70...

    68 rear suspension problem

I had the same issue with my 17's. I installed 5 leaf mid-eyes and a softer shock, the kyb gr-2's. I also rolled the fender and I now have no issues. Ride is definitely firmer but not a tooth-rattling ride.

    Disc brakes with 17" wheels

I attached a couple of pics from my car with 17's on it. the front have the 13" rotors and the rears are 11.65" rotors. This should give a good side-by-side comparison of the two.

Will 18x8 rims fit in the front on 1964 1/2 ford mustang

17's are also installed out of necessity. I put the cobra disc brake conversion on my stang and they require 17's for clearance of the caliper...plus they look bada**!

    Global West UCA Instructions

i would also check the upper shock mounts that you have with the one in the picture. They changed the design in the last year or so and installation instructions are a little different. If you have the old style, let me know and i can get you copies of the older style instructions.

    1968 coupe purchase advice

i agree with zookeeper. i bought a 65 mustang when i was 14 and drove it for about 6 years. i learned a great deal working on that car as it was cheap and simple to fix. The brakes don't work as well as new cars, so i just adjusted my driving habits and allowed plenty of room between myself...

    Coil over performance and prices

68conv4sp, I paid about $2400 or so for them off Dallas Mustang. They were originally 3k, on sale for $2699, and an online coupon on top of that. That is for single adjustable QA-1's.

    Coil over performance and prices

i just received my GW kit for my 70 mustang. They have just recently changed their upper shock mount design from the one that is depicted on their website. It does not look like the billet cone. It is now black and much shorter. This allows for more suspension travel and they are also...

    ebay rims

i'll post some more pics here in a minute. Overall, I was very impressed with these rims. The finish was smooth and without any flaws in the coating. I am unsure of the weight of these, but they are probably a bit on the heavy side... but i guess that can be expected for the price. I have...

    ebay rims

I put these exact rims (17x8 front and 17x9 rear) on my 70 sportsroof, but with the gray color. I went with 245/45's on the front and 275/40's on the rear. I initially had a rubbing problem, but that was attributed primarily to the old (read original-minus shocks), sagging suspension. New...
