How do i lessen the Flowmaster drone?

An H-Pipe will help alot. Mustangs don't have h-pipes behind the mufflers though. He could also add some resonators just in front of the exhaust tips (They're like mini mufflers).

Convertibles -- show me your exhaust

Definitely have them put an h-pipe on and be sure to have them give you a way to disconnect the pipes at the muffler... or somplace before the rear axle. WHY you may ask? The story... I have a solid, welded 2 1/2" dual exhaust with h-pipe, and FM DeltaFlow 50's connected to Try-Y headers. I...

    13's too much to ask?

You might just get there, if you can hook-up. The 351-C is a torque monster. I think the tires will make all the difference.

Anyone know of a kit from chrome-ing parts

No pits in my stuff. They were perfect, just dingy. I was referring to the condition of his glove box door... I've had really good luck with Mustangs Unlimited. Its California Mustang that screws my stuff up. Each parts house must have an allocation of customers to mess with. :D

    Brake rod to long

About $40.00 from Mustangs Plus or Mustangs Unlimited. I just checked one of mine and it will adjust down to 6". If you have acces to a tap & die set, you could actually cuts some new threads on and make it about 5 1/4" with no problem. If you need anything shorter than 6", your master...

Please help! Door (pushbutton) latch assembly

Sounds to me like you lost the retainer for the rod from the pushbutton. Its probably sitting in the bottom of the door. You're right the rod does go to the latch mechanism. You might be well advised to order the Body Assembly Manual. Its a pretty complex thing to describe. You might be...

    c4 problems need help!

You Marines are good at bustin' stuff! :D Driveshafts piss me off too. I've broken two this spring and they're only 36 1/2" long! Its Aluminum from now on... Another option for your drain, might be to tap the hole for a banjo bolt and connect a brake hose to it, then just add whatever...

    Coils...

I have the MSD Blaster 2 and it works great. You can't go wrong with either choice and they cost about the same. Happy Birthday kid!

Locked up 302 with 10k miles on it.

I agree... pull the plugs and see if you can get some oil, maybe even mix in some solvent to loosen it up. You're going to have to rebuild it anyway...at a minimum. It might be a good idea to look into the alternator, brake master cylinder, and power steering pump, if it has one) and look for...

    Balljoint problem

Cutting the head off must have been a real pain in the a*s! You got good advice above.

    Window a little off track.

Remove the window crank handle and the door latch handle (Both should be allen screws), remove the arm rest (two phillips head screws underside), then pop off the door panel (be careful not to tear it up). More than likely the problem is with a worn out roller coming out of the track. If thats...

    rebuilding AOD

You will need at least the master rebuild kit, new bands, possibly the thrust washer kit, and if the items listed are complete greek, a transmission mechanic. If you're still in, get the Haynes manual on Ford Automatic Transmissions. Read the AOD section 3 times, take your time, place your...

Anyone know of a kit from chrome-ing parts

Hey AllCarFan! Rechroming itself won't fill the pits. The glove box door would need to be stripped, pits filled by brazing or other method, copper plated, nickle plated, and finally chrome plated at least twice. Buying the new door is much cheaper, but you might check out a motorcycle chrome...

    Some diff questions

Once you get used to the quirks of the Detroit Lockers, you'll be fine. There is not a better differential made...none. Having said that... The is nothing wrong with Ford's 9" Trac-Loc. Its pretty tough and rebuildable...and perhaps most important for a mostly street driven car, a dime a...

Do you think I COULD break into the 9's with this combo?

I think you need to go back to the drawing board with your engine build. Your components are way mismatched. You have a fairly small carb on a high flowing intake. You have stock heads and want to go with a more extreme cam because it matches your torque converter? I'd recommend getting the...

    Is this a good deal?

It has everything to do with your particular needs and what tranny you're running. If you have an AOD or 5 spd, I'd definitely go for it. If you plan on doing alot of highway driving, I might buy it, but change to 3.55 gears. If its not the correct rearend for your car, forget it, as rearend...

    c4 problems need help!

You shouldn't be venting out onto the tranny (or floor) if you keep the fluid at a proper level (not to full). Beware of aftermarket dipsticks as they are often shorter than oem dipsticks.... causing the unaware owner to overfill the tranny.

I don't have to iron cammies anymore! But that vent is a definite PIA! How you been 10secGoal?
