    04 Cobra or 05 GT

The only way for him to decide is drive them both. Looks like the '05 is much more refined than the Cobra but you once you hear that s/c whine....

The official "How fast is it?" thread...

Sorry, you misunderstood the reason for my reply. I'm trying to point out why one guy will report a 13.6 while another 14.0. The '05 needs no excuses, it's a fast, beautiful car!

The official "How fast is it?" thread...

What's missing in almost all the time postings is the temperature, altitude and track conditions. Pollution controlled cars nowadays are much more affected by these conditions than they used to be in the past.

    Dyno Results

I think in the lower gears you have more losses and you probably start to get a bit of wheelspin on the rollers if your hp is down alot compared to a higher gear.

    Newbie Questions about a 2003

Can't help with all the questions but I think the #1 warranty voider on a Terminator would have to be the pulley. The stock size is 3.65" so check it out. I think new '04's can be picked up right at 30K, don't know about used '03's. Good luck, you will absolutely love this car !

WHAT DO U THINK ABOUT THE 05 MUSTANG???

Finally seen a couple on the road, got to say all in all two thumbs up! About the only negative is that it looks a tad tall like alot of the cars of this era so it's right for the times. Lower it a bit with 18' wheels and it will be perfect :). Price is great and power, especially acceleration...

    '06 Cobra, worth the wait?

I'm sure the '06/'07 Cobra will be a much better beast than the '03/'04 in every respect but I couldn't wait. It would not make sense for Ford to kill SVT with the revival of rear drive performance cars (GTO, CTS-V, 300C, Challenger?).

is there a huge difference in street performance?

    You won't be disappointed :) .

Unfortunately at you're power level the best thing (and of course most expensive) is to go live.

Quick Question for you Cobra Owners

As said above, you got to do your homework but definitely give it your best shot because the car is awesome! I'm an old fart so my rates are pretty low, one of the few advantages of getting older :).

Who regrets buying a corba 03/04

I've had 60's era muscle cars and frankly I didn't even notice anything unusual. The only thing that's kinda annoying is the drivetrain backlash, I feel I have to drive differently to minimize it. My daughters F350 6-spd. diesel 4x4 has less slop in it. Having IRS should not be an issue.

the Fine line between everyday driver and performance...

You may want to see if you can pick up an '04 Cobra, 450hp is just $600 away! Otherwise, maybe nitrous is the way to go for you?

    5 spd vs. 5 spd

Remember an auto has a torque converter which at lower rpms gives you a much better ratio.

How much RWHP and I looking at?

Oh ya, just remember those numbers are at the wheels! 500 crank hp is possible for only about $1200.
