    You can jam a crap load of power into an S-10 with a V8 swap but they still come up short on traction. Unless you run a sweet suspension with sticky tires.

    Stock vs Stock I know a Mach1 is faster than a GT just like stock vs stock a LS1 is faster than a Mach1. Seriosly though my biggest sotp gain was from my Predator. Before that it seemed as if my GT fell flat on it's face after 4,500rpm.

    The only non stock shifter I have had is the OE Hurst in my SS. Does the B&M return to the neutral position when you let go or is it just biased to the right?

    With the stock Eagle F1 tires I ran a best of 13.14 in my SS. It has the SLP option suspension so wheel spin is almost impossible to eliminate on street tires. With a BW Lid/Filter, SLP y-pipe I ran a best of 12.89. With some BFG DR's I ran a best of 12.7 but I don't really use that number...

    I don't see any with just DR running 12's. My GT runs 13.6-13.7 all day long. You are really stupid if you belive a Mach1 that runs 13.2-13.5 is going to have an easy win. The responses here prove my point exactly. A stock 03/04 Cobra is more of a match for a decent LS1 too.
