Brown crap in coolant keeps comin back!

No expert, but I did have a kind of foamy, rusty stuff in my radiator after having my new motor put in. I was told that it is not uncommon in a new motor because of all of the oily residue within the coolant passages. Also make sure you are running enough coolant in your mixture as it contains...

don't know what k-member to buy!

going to buy an AJE with the A-arms which use the stock configuration springs for my '92 street/strip coupe.

Anyone every go up against a cobalt SS?

Congratulations. Those looks like decent times for your first time to the track. A lot of people have trouble getting a 60ft below 2.0 on street tires, especially with 4.10s. Good job.

    190cc procomp heads

I have a set of Procomp 210s on my 427W. Pushrod holes needed to be clearanced, and the stud holes needed to be relocated as they were so far off that even with adjustable guideplates it could not be corrected. They have extensive porting by XSR cylinder heads and have turned a best of...

Anyone every go up against a cobalt SS?

I've seem quite a few slightly modified Cobalt SSs at the track. Most run somewhere in the 14s with a few dipping into the high to mid 13s.

Has anyone ordered an MAC O/R H through MAC themselves?

Same problem here. About 2 years ago, I was buying parts for my 351W swap and I wanted to use the Mac 3" catback. I wasn't in a huge hurry so I wasn't turned off when they told me it was on "about 2 weeks backorder." Everyone couple of weeks, for several months, I would call and it was always...

Tire Age: Safety Hazard - Excessive Paranoia - or Sales Promo

I have more paranoia about NEW Firestones than about other brand's 6 year old tires...

    Anyone read "Down-Low 5.0" in MM&FF?

I had a not so fresh experience using Procomps on my not so budget 427W build, however, the end results are pretty good. Issues I encountered were pushrod holes needing to be clearanced and more importantly ($$$) I needed to relocate the rocker stud holes as even with adjustable guideplates the...

    eibach drag launch springs?

I just took the rears off of my '92 coupe after having them on there for the last 2 years. Ride quality was fine, but it made the passenger side rear sit about 1" higher. I reinstalled a set of stock v8 springs.

Do these exhaust tips look stupid?

Again, if you like it, then that is what matters, but it does seem that most people in the mustang community do not agree. I think it looks much better now that you have tucked them some. I do agree that they still do stick out a little too far. Also, as mentioned, I think it would look...

Question for all you fox guys.

I imagine most people have not owned their fox that long and probably had an option to buy a fox or something newer. I bought my '92 in '06 because most of my teen years were in the mid '80s and early '90s. I grew up wanting a fox so bad. Finally got a new from the dealer '93 GT in Feb '94...

    408 Stroker

I run a dart blocked 427W in my coupe, I have put just over a 1000 miles on it, but haven't checked what my gas mileage is yet. Other than a distributor issue which has nothing to do with the actual motor, it hasn't had a problem yet. Not sure how much you are planning to drive it, but I don't...

    Anyone have this shifter?? (pic)

I rocked that shifter for a few years back when I bought my '93 new. I loved it.

    I'm now doubting the Kenne

If you want to get really crazy, I would say go 408W+ on the motor. The chasis dyno chart below is a dart aluminum blocked 434W with TEA 240cc Highports and a solid roller. Motor was set up for road racing. Plenty of torque there I think.

    I'm now doubting the Kenne

Isn't 750rwhp in a road race prep'd fox body a little much to even be useful?

    427w carbed: done

    My guess is around 460rwhp

    Can't decide:short block

Kinda depends on what your future plans are. Seems the cheapest route would be the 331 w/ SC. You can still run decent compression and have it drive almost like stock unless you are in the boost. Now if you start getting bored and want to significantly increase hp later on, the stock blocked...

408W Build. Am I forgetting Anything?

Are you already converted over to a 351? So have flywheel, balancer, and AC/PS bracket?
