    Ugh, my problem continuation

I would definately have them chk the voltage again for you now that the car is running incorrectly.

    What next?

My 87 had a B&M tc, and shift kit, after having my 95 w/the 5spd, I would recommend going to a stick. Its a lot of fun, and easier to go fast in at your stage.

    Ugh, my problem continuation

To be sure w/out buying parts, you could have any shop chk your voltage @ idle w/a snap on scanner, or the ford star tester.

dyno numbers i can't believe, check this out!

Why not just take it to a different dyno or go to the track to see what it traps. Even if you get the info you are looking for, unless you own your own dyno and are trying to get better at using it, I don't think its worth going through all of this nonsense for a stock car.

    header wrap question

I have wraped my headers, just because I had some clutch cable problems, thought that the headers were melting the wires, never heard of them ruining headers. Maybe I should take them off to see how it looks now. (been running for about a year.

When is it appropriate to upgrade an ignition?

I would probably do it if you run any power adder, or have a healthy h/c/i combo.

    Ugh, my problem continuation

I had a problem w/the maf once, caused horrible driveability problems and never could figure out why, no codes, cleaned my maf. Found out later I was reading around .45v @idle, replaced the maf, was fine. I would try to chk maf voltage, go from there.

    Will 93 Valve Covers fit a 94?

I use fox body valve covers on mine, had to grind down the baffle a little, my rockers were touching it. Other than that, no problems.

    FMU question

I have the 24lb inj already on the car, thats why I was thinkin go ahead and put the 10:1 spacer on, but it sounds like its recommended to leave it the way it is, guess it would be safer that way. Thanks everyone.

AOD or C-4 ...??? whats your thoughts??

My old car was an 87 gt auto, basically same stuff thats in my 95 (the longblock came from the 87) but it was backed by an aod and I had 4.10's, 2400 stall, and GER shift kit. I don't think you would be happy with a c-4 if you drive it alot. I haven't had the car in years, but I remember while...

dyno numbers i can't believe, check this out!

well, it sounds like you already know what to expect from a stock 5.0, but if you want to see it on paper, I would just go to a different dyno. Its cool to get a baseline, but w/a car so stock, and knowing what its probably going to put down, or should put down, I wouldn't bother spending the $...

    FMU question

So your saying to not follow those instructions, but if I need the 8:1 calibration, wouldn't my car run better modifying the fmu to be the 10:1, instead of the standard 12:1? And I definately will get a tune later ( or thinkin about the tweecer) but I drained all of my funds into getting the...

    FMU question

Would Higher Octane Gas Make Your Car Slower?

I would think it is a mixture of both, I've heard that those platinums don't work very well.

    FMU question

Just had a quick question, I just recently recieved my Vortech S-trim, and as I was going over the instrucitons, it stated for the fmu has 2 settings, one for 19lb injectors and the other for 24lb injectors. When I downloaded the instructions before I bought it, it said to only modify the fmu if...

    Brads Custom Auto

They quoted about 2 hours of labor for the install, at $78, or 3 hours for the full length's, plus parts. When I lived in Texas I had Dallas Mustangs charge around 190 or so for everything, seemed a little high so I wanted to make sure it was a good shop.

    Best Heads for 347 Stroker

I've never had any exp w/afr's, but I remember reading in a mag when they put the 185's on a 392 stroker, and it gained around 75hp, but it was compaired to gt-40x's, I would think all of those heads would be good choice, personally if I ever built a stroker the new cnc tfs heads look nice.

    Stock GT dyno numbers

They should dyno around 190rwhp, I never dyno'd mine when stock, but I've seen some that are close to stock.
