MAF wasnt plugged in when bought.

There may have been an issue with closed loop fuel control, so the previous owner unplugged the MAF (to make it easier to sell), which forces open loop control. Hook up the MAF, drive a bit, assuming it drives ok, then pull codes...

Please help my PCM is flooding my engine

Someone correct me if I'm wrong here.... The ecu doesn't typically fail in a way that would leave one injector constantly open. Most likely, as the General mentioned above, a wire/ground was damaged somewhere... The S&P shakers makes sense... What does a noid light show on the questioned...

Digital Tuning Coolant Temperature Sensor Microsquirt

What kind of sensor is hooked up to the gauge? Is it a 3 wire V-ref sensor similar to the ECT? The ECT will still function if it is in an air pocket, but it will just read the temperature of the air that it is in. Not accurate coolant temp, but it still works the same way. I would NOT crack...

    Engine HEAD GASKET HELP !!

4.100" is pretty standard. Unless you are preparing for Engine Masters Challenge, that gasket will work just fine... If it were me, I would clean it and put it together with the correct o-ring gasket. Not my area of expertise though.

    Aftermarket computer tuner?

I my mind, it depends on the cam, so maybe reaching out to FTI is appropriate. My 408w ran pretty decent on the factory ecu settings, with a 'calibrated' MAF. But it always had some low speed jerking around 1500-2000 rpm. That completely went away once the injector timing was dialed in for...

93 LX 2.3L no change when I unplug MAF

Replace or delete, either way works... there isn't much economy gained from the implementation of EGR on these cars... you likely won't notice a difference, I didn't.

93 LX 2.3L no change when I unplug MAF

Should we be seeing 3 digit codes on the 93 2.3 ecu?

93 LX 2.3L low coolant temperature

The dash gauge should be thought of as an indicator on these engines, not as a thermostat... Both of my 2.3's have always indicated cooler than what the actual engine temps were... Get the data from the ECT sensor before concluding that your coolant temps are too low...

93 LX 2.3L no change when I unplug MAF

This just means that your car is likely running in OL control, as opposed to CL control. Odds are, one of the sensors that feed into Closed Loop control, is out of range, and the computer is running Open Loop. Open Loop means fuel and timing are based on lookup tables, and feedback from the O2...

    Electrical 93 computer system deletion.

My experience, it's best to fix any issues you have (or at least properly diagnose the issue), before making changes to the system. Would suck to put in a new megasquirt, just to find out you are having the same issue because of a bad O2 sensor or ECT sensor... Then you have to deal with any...

    Ford MAF w/C&L 76mm housing

And btw... it is awesome that you were able to get your brothers car!!! That is amazing, and a very special thing that doesn't always happen these days... Congrats

    Ford MAF w/C&L 76mm housing

The part numbers on the stock Ford sensors are different because the voltage output curves are VERY different. An F2VF sensor, as an example, is NOT a direct replacement for the OP's AFH55 sensor. I have not seen anything that would make me think you are having any issues with the current...

Engine 4k RPM Idle, glowing headers, exhaust smoke, low coolant

Curious if you made any progress on this? From what you describe, I would guess timing is off and/or vac leak, and maybe a blown head gasket causing the oil leak.

    Engine Intake upgrade

Any Gt40/tubular style intake will match up with stock heads fairly well.

Engine ACT Code 54 "Sensor circuit open"

Not sure I'm following... are you suspecting the ACT plug, or the ACT itself? If the tune was done properly, then it doesn't matter what factory ecu you start with. Most factory differences were minimal anyway.

Engine ACT Code 54 "Sensor circuit open"

Where was the ACT physically installed on the engine? Intake manifold or intake tubing?

Engine 351W - Std cam or Roller?

Carb and nitrous are outside my sphere, so no idea on how appropriate that cam is. swapping to roller cam to avoid spring expense is looking at it backwards, imo... To convert to roller cam on an non-roller block (check the casting number near the starter for the block year), requires using a...

Need info on 2006 Navigator Air Suspension

^Thanks Found the switch, but issues persist... Swapped out the drivers side sensor. Now, the pump does not come on at all. The drivers side is at full compression (low rider), while passenger side seems to be at normal ride height. The Chilton and Haynes manuals are useless. Now diagrams of...

Need info on 2006 Navigator Air Suspension

Figured I would update... I gave up, and ordered a set of sensors for the front, and a Chiltons and a Haynes manual. Should be here Saturday. I removed and tried to bench test the resistance on the drivers side sensor, which is the one I suspect of being faulty. The arm is stiff, especially...
