    sometimes hard to get into reverse

    I do 1st then reverse. Sometimes it still doesn't want to go in, so I put it in first, let the clutch out VERY LITTLE, and then push the clutch back in and shift to reverse.

    over heating problem

    Before replacing the CCRM, check to make sure that the coolant temp sensor hasn't gone bad. I believe it's located on the thermostat housing. If you get desperate, you could always wire the fan to be always-on. I highly do not recommend this, but it can fix the overheating problem temporarily...
