Help with Power rack and pinion for 1969 mustang 302v8 power steering?

The kit comes with a new pump, so I am using it. You are correct Maval is Unisteer. So far Maval has had the best customer service of any company I have dealt with.

Help with Power rack and pinion for 1969 mustang 302v8 power steering?

I know my Unisteer came with tie rods, but not sure on TCP. I would think they supply them as well. Unisteer has their manual on the website.

    t5 shifter handle

HURST #538-0179 is one of their shift sticks, but I am not sure of the length or bend that would work good in a classic Mustang. Hoping someone has used some of them and can put in their $.02 worth. I really don't want to do trial and error. The car is alomost done and I am running low on funds...

Help with Power rack and pinion for 1969 mustang 302v8 power steering?

I went with Unisteer, but the car won't be road ready until late July(Knock on wood). When I bought it they claimed no turning loss and no bumpsteer. I think the quality is better than steeroids or randalls. TCP is nice but was too rich for my blood. I got my Unisteer through a promotion when...

    carpet review

I have the same carpet too, but I haven't installed it yet. I usually use CJ pony parts, Laurel Mountain, NPD or Mustangs Unlimited. I find Mustangs Plus and Paddock to be a little on the high side. Dallas Mustangs is having a sale right now.

    Cheap Rack-in-pinion conversion

What about the Taurus rack conversion? I started to build one and I have the cradle almost finished. I have the rack and the tie rods, but I decided to go Unisteer. under $1200 for the kit with a new pump and well under$1000 for manual unisteer. Maval(Unisteer) has been the best company I have...

    69 steering column

If you could post pics that would be awsome. Is there some kind of bracket or plate with studs that holds the column bracket to the pedal support or is it just nuts and bolts?

    69 steering column

Anyone have pics of how the steering column mount under the dash on a 69? Someone else removed my column and now I need to reinstall, but not sure how it mounted. The mount towards the top that wraps around the steering column, how does it bolt to the dash/pedal support? Is that a bracket with...

    Classic Auto Air HELP!!!

Just wanted to say Thanks to everyone. CAA was not very helpful to me with this issue. In the end they said I would just have to modify the brackets they supplied. After checking the net I found a place called Alan Grove that makes adjustable brackets to fit SBF with Sanden compressors. They...

    Classic Auto Air HELP!!!

I checked the website. The pic is the bracket for the 6 cylinder according to CAA. SBF from 69 up get the brackets I have. The bracket in the pic is similar to the first one they sent with my kit, but it was for early 289 engines. That was a one peice bracket, but the holes for that didn't come...

    Classic Auto Air HELP!!!

The timing cover in the pic is a 69 casting, but I have had three different covers from various years and the all fit the same. The water pump has the outlet on a diferent side starting in '70, but all the bolt holes for the pump are the same and it is the same timing cover. The reason the kit...

    Classic Auto Air HELP!!!

What's the best deal you ever got on a Stang?

I traded a motorcycle that I had about $200 bucks into for my 69 Mach1. A guy I worked with brought it back to Michigan when he visited his mother in Arizonia. I think he should have talked to his wife first because she was not happy. He knew the 69 sportroofs were my favorite, but my wife was...
