The All Mighty Power Adder Dilemma

2.6 KB wont even get close to 950RWHP...now the 2.8 mommoth MAY do it, but it will be tough. Your really going to need to go turbo. Twin T61s will support 1200HP at the crank, and still spool half way decently. Oh and be prepared to spend $30K+ to do this right....because thats atleast what...

    Best Cam Swap Thread?

I used that tool....its a joke IMHO. :notnice: It almost slipped off the cam gear a few times, before I decided to used vice grips. I bought it used, and still have it....but I wont sell it to anyone because its a complete waste of money.

    DIY "MIL" elimiators?..Anyone know how?

You should get a P0420 and a P0430 if its from removing the cats. You may have another problem...try replacing your front 02s if you cant find any vacuum leaks.

    Best Cam Swap Thread?

While I do agree its a good idea to do....it really isnt needed. Ford does not degree in their cams....they just put them in and line up the timing marks. If ford can put a few hundered thousand PI engines togethor by just lining up the key ways and timing marks.....then you can do the same...

Anyone want to help with a Ford Focus problem?

No, even in our cars....thats the front 02s. The rear 02s are not looking for a rich or lean condition...only oxygen content to check how the cats are functioning. thats why they are different part #s :nice:

    New Tork Tech Videos

Wont work :( The blower is just too long....there would be no room for the inlet. I just went out and made some measurements.... Only way to do it would be to move the engine forward a few inches or make a crazy puny inlet....even the 1900 would be too long. And you really cant move it forward...

    Best Cam Swap Thread?

He must be talking about degreeing the cam in....which isnt at all needed on PI cams. Although it will not hurt anything...and probbaly would give you a few HP, IMHO its not worth the money (degree kit, and adjustable cam gears) or the time (pulling front timing cover) to gain a few HP, if that.

    Everyone running drag radials!!

Im sure you were just kidding around, but IMO those are.....Ricey......those belong on a s2000 or an RSX or a civic. If you look at nittos tires and simular designs, they "were designed for the sport compact tuner market" or something similar. You have a mustang...and not just any mustang...a...

    Best Cam Swap Thread?

Unexplained ENGINE FAILURE in the '01 Cobra

WOW I have never seen anything like that!!!!!!!!!! Sorry to hear that :( Did you rev it out any before hand? In any case it shouldnt have done that...however it looks to me like you have skipped disaster since you didnt mention any piston to valve contact noises. Since it was still pouring out...

    Everyone running drag radials!!

Now these are what you need. They are working very well for the Corvette guys...hook great (sticky) and are designed for handling. Toyo R888s. Im thinking about trying them next time as they come in 315/35/17s. BTW I have read reports of them lasting as much as 8000 miles....and everyone...

spark plugs welded in, bottom end still good?!!!

What exactly happened? The only way I can see the plugs getting THAT hot is from lack of oil pressure...or were you spraying when it exploded? A lean condition at that point has been known to actually melt pistons and melt the electrode off plugs....so obviously the plug would get darn hot...

spark plugs welded in, bottom end still good?!!!

Doubt it...generally when engines "blow up" its the bottom end that grenades...thus the term. Now you may be able to save the crank...MAYBE, but I wouldnt look to keep anything else. If it got THAT hot, the pistons are most likely fried...and if you had any impacts, your rods could be bent or...

    LOL Mustang/Truck combo!

AHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!! Yea, "but the wireing needs some work" is an understatement! Look at that engine bay....wires going everywhere! Im surprised it even runs LOL. I never will understand why people spend SO much time making a vehicle like this.

    new ride

Not my thing...but if he likes it, then thats all that matters. He just needs to ditch the mirrors, and fix those dents in the rear....and maybe figure out how to get the front bumper to fit better. I just dont know how he can go from a built cobra to a 4 banger S10...I would be dying from...
