    Where to mount BOV?

you got it way backwards there man, you don't want the back pressure running into the turbo, because it slows it down. as far as best placement, that is a big debate. but I will tell you this, the majority of factory turgocharged engines that have a valve, has the valve between the turbo and...

    85 svo

actually as a matter of fact NON of the 2.3T's had a oil line of any type tapped into the oil pan, its tapped into the actual block. the oil feed comes from the drivers side rear of the head, the oil return goes into the block underneath the turbo. if your engine is tapped into the oil pan then...

    Performance Ignition Parts Questions

the only reason I would get an MSD is for the two-step, but that doesn't really help you unless you have a turbo.

    Performance Ignition Parts Questions

0 performance increase, and alot of money wasted. Just install motorcraft parts, they have worked fine on 500+hp 2.3turbo, 200mph Merkur. so i think they'd work just fine on 100hp 2.3

    squeaky spring

i'd put more money on the bushings from the sway bar or something similar squeaking like crazy, especially if you have polyurethane bushings.

Max boost is different in different gears?

you have enough time to look at the boost guage and notice it staying put in 2nd gear? 2nd gear takes like 2-3 seconds in my car. Put it in 4th and see what it stays at there.

    Updates

i have full 18psi at 2600 rpm, and a good 4 psi at 2000rpm. i think 3300 is way late especially for a ported head 3" exhaust and a stock t3 turbo.

GRRR! Just put motor back together, bad ticking.

how long have you let the car run? because if they haven't had oil pressure for a long time, it takes the lifters a good amount of time to get pumped back up to there proper height. engine basically needs to get warm and run for 30 minutes or so.

    Turbo!!!

the spliting only happens on the newer blocks, because they have very thin walls on some of the cylinders. if your using anything older than 88 you shouldn't have any problem.

    opinions on gauges

I used the autometer 2 guage pod, with the double sided foam tape stuff from walmart. works good and holds it up there pretty well. It doesn't fit exactly. and there is no way in hell I would use screws to hold my guage pod on, that would jack up the a pillar cover.

    over drive on manual trans?

oh hell no. the reason its called overdrive is because the transmission is driven OVER what the engine is spinning at. the engine spins slower than transmission. any every other gear the engine is spinning faster than the transmission. to ACCELERATE faster you downshift so that the engine can...
