    Instrument lights non-op...

Hey y'all. Got a '67 Convertible. I'm starting to drive it as my DD and the main problem at the moment is that the instrument lights are dead. They used to work, started to work intermittently, and then died altogether over about a 1-year period. I've checked the connector on my headlight...

Woohoo! Getting back in a Mustang!!

I'm happy, this is a great deal. My Dad and I restored our '67 Mustang convertible years ago, but since we moved, we never got it legal here in Texas, so it's been sitting in the garage. My Dad's been wanting to sell it and coincidentally I've been wanting to sell my car and get a classic...

Have you ever gotten to a point where Stangnet bores you?

Hopefully we can rekindle the flame. I got a deal worked out to get myself the '67 Mustang Convertible my Dad and I restored ans showed, so I'll probably be on here a lot more...

    Front suspension options for 67

I don't know about now, but Total Control Products (http://www.totalcontrolproducts.com/) used to have some of the hottest setups around.

    Classic stereo setups?

My '68 had an older Pioneed AM/FM Cassette with Pioneer 6" in the kick panels and 6X9's in the package tray. The HU was made before the stereo manufacturers thought it was a good idea to ditch the dual turny knobs and repace them with buttons for all the functions, so although it definitely...

    Retro Magnum500 wheels on a 67/68?

I had them on my '68. At the time I LOVED the look, but as time has passed, I'm not as hot on them anymore. I don't think they have enough of a "deep dish" look to them for a classic car...look at some pics in my rather rudimentary garage gallery I've set up tonight. Anyway, here's the setup...

Pick my color for the 71 Mach1

Here's how my Dad painted his '73 Mach. At first I thought it was going to be a tad bit quiet or conservative until I saw it in the flesh. I thought it struck an excellent balance, and a lot of it was because of the generous metal flake (hard to see, it was cloudy the day these pics were taken)...

Have you ever gotten to a point where Stangnet bores you?

I reached that point a long time ago. I used to post heavily here, probably about 4 years ago or so. I had a '68 Hardtop at the time, this was the car that got me through high school. This post right here is the first I've done since then - I figured since I'm ridding myself of the...

    Bullitt Flowmasters

i know someone who just got an OR x-pipe and the catback flowmaster kit on his bullitt. it sounded plain noisy to me like most flowmaster cars, and he had some trouble with the mufflers rubbing up against something. but it's sure loud and gets your attention. with the stock midpipe, there...

    What tranny do you have?

hmm it doesnt have torque lol. in fact, dyno tested, it had 285lb-ft at peak, but 360hp (or something like that). but my dad made sure to get a good one, i know i was worried about that too

    welp today is d-day :-(

don't worry. you'll be okay. i sure was when i sold the focus ahahahaha but seriously, think of it as being able to experience different cars. the 67 is IMHO much better designed than the earlier models, and better looking to boot. you're a lucky guy to have owned 2 mustangs at such a young age

Legislation to Repeal Old Car Emissions Exemption Reintroduced

meh, this is how they get those weird freak militant cults started lol. but seriously, that's gypped. they've been trying time and again to do this, and frankly, they don't understand just how big the automotive industry is here. it's huge. doing this wouldnt be as big a blow as the worker's...

    Who likes their C4?

can't wait to get rid of the c4. it's a nice enough tranny with crisp shifts, and can be built for drag racing. but for my daily driver, i can't wait to drop an AOD and 3.73's in there. but for drag racing, there's only 1 auto tranny i can think of that's any better: powerglide

    POLL: New GTO

it's not pretty, but it's not ugly either. it's kinda europen, which is just odd for a "muscle car". gm killed off olds too early, the gto fills the niche that the olds 4-4-2 did, and i think this'd be a helluva way to bring them back

    Problem with new mustang

id wait till we see how reliable the new engine is. i havent followed the 05 closely at all, but i hear itll be quite a bit more complicated. now, dont get me wrong, i love our fords, but you gotta admit ford's first-model-year recall rate is not exactly impressive (focus, escape...

    TCP Rumor

i'll have to go with wanting a mid-level set of components as well. i'm not too much into handling right now, but i can guarantee you if i ever were, i would neither be able to afford, nor be too interested in the ultra-top-of-the-line parts you guys carry. for track guys it's great, but for a...
