    Interesting O2 Sensor Question!!!!!

I'd just keep the o2 pre-cat and let the EEC do its job, and the smog pump and cats will do their, the air from the smog pump will make the o2 read leaner and then the EEC will be trimming fuel in CL to a false reading. and probably would be a tad on the rich side. I dont know of any way to...

    Vortech V-3 Supercharger

Thats what i said also. If you start out with low boost it wont be a month before you turn it up. trust me i have been there.

are you going to be using stock heads or something?? and 300 HP wont be much over what you have now. I garentee you will want more power and up the boost or get a bigger turbo. When i ran my vortech a few years ago i was in the same mentality. I was SURE i was going to run only 5psi and...

How low will my idle go? 1000 rpm?

I found my combo to idle best at around 950-1000. With the cam and etc. the initial tip in while taking off is alot easier than if the engine were idling at like 600-700 all groggy and lopey etc etc.

Need some advive for supercharger Installation

Yes you can run stock timing with just 5-6 psi, set it at 10* base. The reason timing is changed is under boost, the air fuel mix in denser and requires less total timing to produce optimum power. Also too keep detonation away. And tuning is the best way to go IMO. You get the larger...

yeah definatly a good point, the less silicone couplers the better. usually though most setups arent running that much boost, especially if running a stock block.

More timing = less gas mileage?

Once your find the MBT timing that works for your car, that should produce the best MPG possible. Once you get that peak pressure point just a few degrees after TDC, having in the right spot with the most leverage on the crank will produce the best torque for the given fuel input. over...

I dont think it would be as bad as you think. If your going to be plumbing the your pipes similar to most single fox setups. You shouldnt have too many couplers, definatly not every few inches. I dont have any links but i remember searching around on the builds forum on TTF and saw alot of...

You can make a coldside from aluminum without welding. Go on ebay and get the "universal" IC pipe kits, you can get them in alot of sizes and they come with clamps and couplers and you can just cut where needed and use the silicone couplers to fasten it all together.

    Injection Timing

injector timing needs to be tuned for the specific car IMO. AS injector size plays a HUGE role in the injector timing.

    FPR remove and replace ?

Instead of trying to use the allen wrench in that little space. Just take the Upper intake off, and unbolt the fuel rail. swing it up and get the bolts in fast.

Oil pan job leads to what else

I am pretty sure you are not going to be able to jack the motor up high enough to get the oil pan out of the car, the transmission will hit the trans tunner. You will either have to pull the trans or pull the engine. If you pull trans there isnt a good pivot point to jack the motor up with...

Dropping the T5 - Pull the bellhousing with the tranny or separate?

I pull the trans from the bellhousing. Although the last few times i have had my tranny out, i was pulling the motor. In that case i did the same thing. pulled trans and pulled engine with bellhousing still attached.

Need help talking to my machine shop about engine work

If you on a budget, i'd just tear the engine down. If the cylinder walls are in good shape. you could get away with just a nice honing and reuse the stock pistons and rods. mic the crank and get and idea of what bearings sizes you need. if the engine never gave you and problems and was well...

    installed fabricated box upper.

the flange where it bolts down is just 2 weide rectangle ports with 4 runners in each. the actually 8 runners starts at the spacer itself. so you just milled your spacer out in b/w the runners and had the 8 runners start at the manifold itself??

yeah man i will be updating that when i get started. its been dragging out, i was really hoping to have had the turbo on or at least working on it. me and my dad got the new building done and all we need to do is get power run to the shop and move out air compressor out so i can use that...
