    Cheap/free mods for racing?

I agree with the fact that alot of these things I wouldn't do to my own car, just because of what could happen. I intend on running my stang down the drags once she's ready for that but Im not gonna change how its set up just for the track. Track times and street times are ususally 2...

which size wheel should I choose 16x8/16x7

I ordered a set of 17x8 Torq thrust 2's they have a 4.75bs and they fit well. I know clearance is tight to the A arm but they fit. A 16" rim may run into issues with that? Hopefully someone else can shed some more light on the subject. Looks like someone beat me

which size wheel should I choose 16x8/16x7

I do believe, allthough Im no expert, that you will want the 16x8 with the spacers I belive 4.75bs is the magic number. I would reccomend looking at Dodgestangs wheel tire combo chart before you do anything though. Your best bet will be going out with a tape measure to verify that everything...

    Winterize My 67 Stang

I leave fuel in the carb as most boats have no way to shut it off, I've never had a problem, In order to fog a motor there is no "set" amount of oil to use but you'll hold the idle to about 1800 to 2500rpm and slowly (I mean slowly especially if you use atf vs fogging oil) dump the fluid in the...

Seal the bottom of the engine compartment?

That is a interesting concept. What about some kind of louvers cut into the cover on the underside, to let some of the heat/fumes out?... None the less its something to think about.

    Winterize My 67 Stang

As a boat mechanic in Northern Michigan I put my fair share of stuff into storage, I would put fuel stablizer into the tank and run it for a good bit afterwards as to get it up into the carb, a large amount of fuel won't go bad over the winter, smaller amounts like in the carb will and can gum...

    GT40P Heads

You can use your old head bolts, allthough for peace of mind a new set can't hurt, as the old ones have 30+ years of stress on em.

    I need a

ya its plastic, it was for a 89 f150 w/351 and it was for a serpentine setup. I would assume they make em for a V belt as well? and yes it was identical to the old pully other than it was plastic.

    Pulley Setup!!!

I am running a serpentine setup, I don't have pics at the moment though, but first I robbed the entire setup off a late 80's ford van, while it worked it looked bulky with the tensioner and idler pully.(not to mention it took quite awhile to get em cleaned up so they looked decent) I decided to...

    best way to lower car

So what if I went with just lowering springs? Would I still have to do the shelby drop or just put the springs in and go? (w/an alignment)

    best way to lower car

Well, Im looking for ideas on whats the best way to lower my car. I hear alot about the shelby drop. all this requires in drilling holes in the a arms correct? What would I need to do about springs and shocks? Are their other ways that may be better. What would you do if you had to do it? Thanks

    Lets talk welders...

I would deffeniately look into one that will support the gas. It is much easier to weld and cleaner. I know some of the cheaper ones the wire is hot all the time which kindof sucks imo. I like to pull the trigger and let it feed for it to become hot, but its personal preferance.
