    probably bad bearing in the idler pulley replace it before it goes out. a couple of my other vehicles this has happened on and the idler will lock up and break the belt. they are not but $20-40 from advance or autozone

    if you remove the housing and sensor the light will come on. the egr does not have to function but it has to be connected.
