    Shelby tops Roush and Saleen

OK, but how do you argue with statistics? They Shelby was largely faster and performed better.

My Mustang in the shop at 1,800 miles

This is my daily driver. Driven most every day, 5 or 6 days a week. I noticed the last few starts that something seemed strange, electrically. But it didn't make me really think until today when it didnt start. I'm curious of the "water in the smart junction box" remark. How does that...

    2008 Shelby GT-C Mustang -- Overpriced?

I don't really care for the Saleen rear end. Doesn't look like a mustang. Anyone else agree?

    2008 Shelby GT-C Mustang -- Overpriced?

OK... My apology. I was referring to MSRPs. The Motor Trend article listed all three vehicles tested (Shelby GT-C, Roush Stage 2 and Saleen S281-3V)... and their MSRPs: Shelby GT-C: $48,675 Saleen S281: $49,613 Roush Stage 2: $46,989 Effectively, all three are approximately the same...

    2008 Shelby GT-C Mustang -- Overpriced?

I seriously doubt you could get supercharged Saleens or a Roush for the same cost.

    2008 Shelby GT-C Mustang -- Overpriced?

They are comparable in numbers... but I guess it's a prestige thing. Shelby can up their price tags because of just that... it's a Shelby. I would go with the Bullitt myself... but you can never go wrong with a Shelby.

    Shelby tops Roush and Saleen

Read an interesting article in this month's edition of Motor Trend. It pitted a new Shelby vs. a Roush stage 2 and Saleen. Long story short, MT found the Shelby performed the best and was the most preferable of the bunch. It was great for me to read it, because I am such a fan of Shelby...

My Mustang in the shop at 1,800 miles

Wondering if anyone here has had troubles with the battery or any electrical troubles. My stang is an '08 with 1,800 miles but it would not start today. Hence, I had it towed to the dealership for analysis. It sounds like a battery or electrical issue. Just clicks when you turn the key...

Should I Buy a Shelby GT

Yes sire, you are absolutely correct. I couldn't have said it better myself. It's all about individual needs. The main reason long loan terms become problematic is because many drivers get way upside down in their loans and try to get a fair trade in value only to find that they owe $4,000...

Should I Buy a Shelby GT

Why don't you lease then? If you are resigned to making car payments, why not get lower payments and just turn it in after 3 years for a new one? That makes more sense to me than paying higher payments and after 3 years... all you've got is a car that's 3 years older, higher mileage and...

Need some help buying a new GT

I understand... I mean we don't buy our Mustangs for resale value (at least I don't)... we buy them to drive. But I disagree. A Bullitt will be worth more than your GT in the future, there's no doubt about it. Out of curiosity, what options were you looking for... and assumed you got?

Should I Buy a Shelby GT

That's a great price for a Shelby. I would take it if you really WANT a Shelby. However, if you're just looking for something to re-sell at a higher premium in the future, don't do it. Main reason... because you're financing the thing for a helluva long time and it will take you a LONG time...

Need some help buying a new GT

Don't get a GT. Go the extra few thousand and get a Bullitt or Cal Special (if it's offered for '08). Or if you can splurge a bit, get a Shelby.

    Changed the Fuel Filter ,,,WOW

How do you actually SEE inside of the fuel filter? Isn't it sealed? I have never seen inside of a fuel filter because I've never seen one that isn't sealed and totally enclosed.

$28,000 for an 08 GT. What would you pay?

Screw the GT. Go the extra few thousand and get a Bullitt. That thing will be highly valuable in the near and extended future.

    Body Mod opinions

Really, you can't go wrong with either louvers or scoops. It just depends on what kind of look you are after. IMO, scoops look more "Shelby" while louvers look more "Fastback." Expect to pay about $150-$200 for a good set of louvers. ALSO... get them painted to match your car. Unless your...
