http://theamcforum.com/forum/ Also google amxfiles.com and planet Houston AMX, NAMDRA (National American Motors Drag Racing Association), and Performance American Style. Great places for info and parts.. The 69 390 4 speed is a desirable car and worth money, restore it right, don't...

Scan tool unable to connect to computer

I've had similar problems before with the oil pressure guage, and it turned out that the wire to the sending unit was pinched behind the Power Steering/AC bracket. I'd bet either your sending units have gone bad or the wires are grounded somewhere. have a buddy look at the guages while you...

    cylinder head choices

Read carefully... I recommended CHOOSING the head first, but find out the cam specs before ORDERING the heads because your valvetrain package may change when you find out the cam specs. By no means am I saying PICK the cam before the heads... Of course, if the money is there you could...

    cylinder head choices

OK looks like I misread the first post... flywheel HP, I thought you were looking for 450 at the wheels... 185's, a good intake (ask someone else, I'm stubborn and sticking to a Cobra) and most importantly, go custom on the cam. It's only 75 bucks or so more expensive for a custom from Ed C...

Largest Rear Nitto Drag Radials That Fit?

Got those too, look for pics on my cardomain site. My BFG DR II's are very wide for a 315, they bulge a bit on my 10.5" wheels. I had to pound a bit on the inner fenderwell where it meets the rear subframe (not hard) and I haven't had quads in years so no idea if they would have fit or not...

    cylinder head choices

Yeah, for 450 HP you'll need AFR 205's, probably with the nitrous port. Hope you are willing to rev it a bit. I'm using a Scat forged crank with Mahle pistons (expensive bastards...) and 185's with an Ed C. cam and Cobra intake with port work. So far I have no solid numbers, it pissed some...

Crane 2031 cam install on a 95 Cobra Questions

I wouldn't waste the money on a shim kit. The Crane 2031 is ground with a small base circle compared to the stock camshaft, so more than likely you will find out that your stock 6.250 pushrods are somewhere in the neighborhood of .060 too short.. which is not correctable via shims. Longer...

Finally broke down and joined the dark side...

Got it, Sig line updated, also I stand corrected on my specs, on further research Moonlight Blue was available on 1997 models also, but no other years under that name (02-03 True Metallic Blue is very very close however).

Finally broke down and joined the dark side...

Posting for Trish: Here's her "new" '96 Mustang GT Convertible, mostly stock (welded-in flows, and now has a K&N and a Fidanza short throw shifter). The color is a '96 only color called Moonlight Blue

Adventures of the Blonde Headed Irish Kids..

OK so we successfully made it into DC without further mishaps!!! Almost got runover by an impatient trucker, but overall made it through the mountains OK! Pics will be up tomorrow of the confirmed sighting of the distinctly chebby-oriented Tink wearing what appears to be a Ford (Mustang)...

Adventures of the Blonde Headed Irish Kids..

Cowgirl Tink on SVT's s/n Tink ATK: I think plans for the Cougar are fine, if you'll remember that if the IPO had not given up the car, I was going to use my means to make it your guys' anyway, but that was vengence and other stuff. :uzi: But I digress- Yes my A&M fliplops were recovered...

Adventures of the Blonde Headed Irish Kids..

So I figured we'd stop the BDT thread hijack before it got out of hand.... We got out of N.C. late, survived the road trip through the Smoky mountains, Knoxville, Nashville, STL, and back-country S.E. Iowa on the way to S.W Iowa without the notorious Hedman hedders on my trusty 351W in the...

    WOT switch for NO2 question

I ended up putting mine on the "floorboard" of the car. It's not where you would kick it, it's higher up and gets hit by the arm of the gas pedal a couple of inches above my foot. There's a bracket already bolted there too, so I didn't even have to drill any holes, I just threaded a second...
