WAY Down on Power... I Hate my Car

No ****? Mine is two metal rails that run parallel to the cylinder banks connected by two grey rubber hoses....

OH **** Water mixed with oil in the intake

LOL I don't even pull an engine drain plug to get the coolant out anymore... I just take the thermostat housing off and push the shop vac hose flush with the lower to suck out all of the coolant...much cleaner and easier.

WAY Down on Power... I Hate my Car

For whatever stupid reason...get this: TFS made the lower too big to fit the stock fuel rail/tubes around! Their solution is to machine a big cut on the front face of the lower to accomodate the front fuel tube. This cut wasn't big enough on mine, the fuel tube was being squeezed bad by...

WAY Down on Power... I Hate my Car

Not yet...I still need to pull the upper and check it out. Any thoughts on the fuel pressure issue? I've been pondering this, here's a thought of mine: Perhaps the front fuel tube is STILL being pinched as evidenced by the no change in fuel pressure. It is still contacing the lower...

WAY Down on Power... I Hate my Car

Many times. That's the worst thing about mine- it doesn't feel choppy, doesn't buck, ect. Just feels WEAK- super weak.

WAY Down on Power... I Hate my Car

    1. Fuel pressure does not go up while revving! In neutral, the car revs freely up to 5500. Fuel pressure is set at 43 PSI vac off/40 PSI vac on. When I rev with the vacuum on, fuel pressure slowly drops to 39 PSI and never rises. When I let off the throttle, it returns to 40. Same symptom with...

WAY Down on Power... I Hate my Car

Yeah, that was another one of the first things I suspected...but the lower is all sealed up tight, oil level is normal as is coolant and no apparent mixing is there.

WAY Down on Power... I Hate my Car

The manifold is new....I am sure that the lower is clear of obstruction. I did NOT check the upper, and I sure hope that it's not clogged with something! It wouldn't particularly suprise me though, and I'll add that to my list. Thanks.

Firing order is correct. No plug wires were even removed...I pull the cap with the wires still attached and just move it out of the way. Timing was set correctly. Spout is in. :D Thanks man, another good suggestion... Unfortunately my Tweecer is not an R/T (I bought it only for...

WAY Down on Power... I Hate my Car

Guys: Thanks for the input. I was doubting that it's any of the typical MAF, dizzy, ect. problems since the car was great before the intake swap, and the MAF is a clean year and a half old Pro-M piece. The spark plug wires are Accell 8.8's and are not arcing. Everything is sealed...

WAY Down on Power... I Hate my Car

I replaced my Cobra intake with a TFS Street Heat upper and lower intake. Nope, timing verified to be 10* BTDC. First thing I suspected was that my distributor had skipped timing or something similar. No pinging. Just no power. The car is probably making ~110 RWHP right now. I've done...

Doing some work on the stang, but I need some advice.

It's a box looking thing that attaches to a 3/8 inch drive (your ratchet, torque wrench) ect. It has "nubs" on it that fit into the slots in the rear brakes piston so that you can torque the piston down in order to clearance the new pads. Some say you can do this with needlenose pliers, ****...

WAY Down on Power... I Hate my Car

Some may remember that awhile ago I cracked my Cobra lower. I replaced it with a TFS Street Heat w/TFS elbow adapter. Before the Cobra cracked, the motor was running strong and though I had some converter issues in 2nd and 3rd, first gear was a downright beast and I was able to annihilate my...

So whats the worst you ever got your ass kicked?

Luckily, never. Not that it couldn't happen to me- two of my friends got into the exact same situation as you. It resulting in one of them having his jaw broken from a kick to the head (though the five guys got it worse- two of them got hit with bricks, one got stabbed in the neck with a pen...
