    Turbine rims 15x8s What tires?

Do you remember which model BFG's those were? My rear 225's are getting pretty bald & they'll probably need replacing long before I can afford bigger wheels. I don't want to spend a lot of money on 15" tires, but still want something that will handle and hook up decently...

lowering a fox hurt street performance??

It really depends on what shocks/struts and springs you're running. A really firm autox suspension is going to hurt your straight line traction a lot more than a milder setup. I'd assume with adjustable shocks you could dial in a little more traction by putting them on a softer setting, but I...

Dyno numbers are in.. Technical help needed!!

Lots of variables... maybe you're under more load on the street, maybe hotter air temp, heat soak, etc. Gotta keep in mind that a dyno can't perfectly replicate all the different conditions you'll enounter driving on the street. If you're hearing pinging you've got a good reason to be concerned...

KYB Users... and anyone who knows suspension.

Could you guys with KYB's specify which ones you're running? The non adjustable GR-2's or the adjustable AGX's? Anyone know if the Bullitt springs are the same as FMS B springs? And if the shocks are the same as off-the-shelf Tokico HP's ("blues"), or if they're a little different? That setup...

Radiator flush products, yay or nay?

I'm trying the regular flush stuff right now... I'll see if that does anything. I think I already have some CLR.. so if I need to I guess I can try that... how long would I want to leave it in there?

Radiator flush products, yay or nay?

When I installed a new radiator a few months back, I thought I had got all of the old rusty water out of the cooling system, but apparently not... I drained everything to install a new water pump the other day, and noticed that the coolant was still a bit brownish. So I flushed everything...

    Installing strut bushings... how the...???

Hmm... it's not bad to use a normal wrench on them is it? You're just saying it's a waste of time? 'Cause I already tried that.... :D I'll just go down to the neigborhood garage tomorrow and have them put an impact gun on them... I should have thought of that earlier, I guess I'll just have...

Water pump & balancer replacement, any advice?

Cool, if it's no big deal I'll just leave it alone I suppose. My WP bolts were a little grungy but came out without a fight. I cleaned them up with a wire brush and put them back in with lots of antiseize, no problems. I was a little worried about the WP gasket, since I was told black RTV...

    Installing strut bushings... how the...???

How the heck are you supposed to loosen that nut on the top of the struts? It just wants to turn the strut rod along with it. I tried putting a vise grips on the rod but no matter how hard I clamp it down it just slips. Tried clamping the pliers onto a screwdriver and using the slot on the top...

Water pump & balancer replacement, any advice?

Well, I finished up the water pump and balancer yesterday. Both were much easier than I was expecting, luckily all the bolts came out without any trouble. The car runs a lot smoother now with the new balancer. A huge thanks to everyone that replied. :) The only thing I'm wondering is, should...

    steering

Who sells upgraded rag joints for our cars? All I've been able to find is entire steering shafts for $150-200... which is a little much if I could just replace the joint with something solid. I've heard a bumpsteer kit helps to tighten up the steering, but I don't know if that's just because...

    Thinking of new Battery

I had an Optima red top in my old Crown Vic, since had a pretty big stereo system in it (~ 800 watts) that I wanted to be able to play for a decent amount of time with the engine off. It worked pretty well for that purpose... I ran the battery totally out a few times over the year I had it and...

Thanks for the help everyone. Any ideas where I might find a 5/16" long shank tap locally? Guess I'll start making some phone calls...

    RPM limiter on FOX body.

I'm kind of thinking possible ignition problem as well, when was the last time the car had a full tune up? When I first bought my car it would die out at 5000-5500 rpm. Felt like a rev limiter kicking in, but in my case the ignition components were original so it was obvious that was the problem.

That sucks. I hope they nail those theives & get you the car back in one piece. I'll definately keep a look out for the car or any of those parts down here.

Water pump & balancer replacement, any advice?

Do you mean you just put the car in gear / ebrake on so the crank doesn't turn, and then use a breaker bar on it? That's the thing about putting the breaker bar against the water pump... seems like it could potentially crack something. Hopefully my superhuman strength will be enough to get...

Water pump & balancer replacement, any advice?

So I'm about to replace my water pump with a new Ford piece, and the harmonic balancer with a Professional Products one. kinda odd they went out at the same time, beats having to take everything apart twice though. I have a couple questions... -am I likely to need new water pump bolts? can I...

    Why the mustang?

Honestly, the 5.7L LT1's are pretty nice engines, you'll get a lot more power out of an LT1 in stock form than you will with a Mustang 5.0L, and they do have a lot of potential (as does the stang). However I'm not a big fan of the cars themselves. I think they're too large on the outside with to...
