    intake plenum Which one?

I'm not voting for either one of those. Accufab. :nice: *All the aftermarket plenums are close in their provided *subtle* hp increase.

    HELP! Installing new shift boot!

You may be thinking of the boot that goes between the shift boot and the shifter itself. That boot does have a metal ring with four bolts holding it down. The shift boot is stapled to a metal ring. The metal ring is then stuck against the plastic ring that mounts to the central console. The...

oil filler neck came off..what to use to put it back on?

You could try that "Plastic Weld" compound. I usually see it at the autopart stores. I've never used it though, so no promises made. I used to like JB Weld, but it never holds up on the applications I've used it for. If it were me, I'd just order some nice valve covers to replace the...

    Gas ?

I run 91 since I had my car tuned. However, the day I was dyno'd I had a mixture of 89/91 in the tank in hopes that I could get away with 89 during the winter months. I wish I had an entire tank of 89 that day because buying premium sucks. I'd take the chip out, but then my speedo is off. :(...

    HELP! Installing new shift boot!

I've done it. Those plastic tabs that look melted have to be broken off. I then mounted the boot to the plastic ring with a glue gun. Hope this helps!

Help with quieting down my exhaust

That's just it.. lately I've driven a few fast & quiet cars and I really liked picking up speed quickly but without everyone knowing I'm on the throttle. It's nice flying stealth, but being that it's a Mustang I guess it should make a little sound. I've already had off-road pipes, turn downs...

Help with quieting down my exhaust

I'm in the east bay. I appreciate the offer, and I'll PM you if I decide to go stock. I'm kind of leaning towards the 30 series flowmaster, but from the charts the 50 series is even quieter. I dunno.. magnaflow sounds tempting, but I'm against borla at this point. To answer the above...

Help with quieting down my exhaust

Yeah, not a common request huh. I know.. :nonono: . I like hearing my exhaust at times, but I don't want my entire interior pulsing with exhaust notes. I just read up on the flowmaster 30 series, which claims to keep an aggressive sound with less interior noise - that is what I'm looking...

Help with quieting down my exhaust

A little history: When bought my car I installed the flowmaster 40 series mufflers (not deltaflow). After driving with these mufflers for a couple months, I decided they were too loud, and droned excessively for my taste. I then purchased borla XR1's hoping for a unique & quiet sound. Nope...

    FRPP 99-04 GT Blower Kit

The dyno used to smog the car is only there to put the engine under load. Don't expect to see your torque curve while smogging your car. :p

    Home Made RAI... HOLY ****!!!

I had a ram-air setup on my KB'd 5.0. I slapped it on to counter the KB's excessive heat soak in the summer months since I found myself pulling out excessive ignition timing otherwise. It seemed to be worth the money in that application, but I'm hesistant to invest in that for the NA 4.6...

    Mach 1 Chin Spoiler???!?!? :(

That was bound to happen sooner or later. I'm surprised no 3rd party has started making the chin spoilers themselves.. I'd like to see a 99/01 Cobra specific chin too - I'll have to patent that one.

    FRPP 99-04 GT Blower Kit

+1 Cars in CA get smog readings taken on a dyno now, which jumped the smog-your-car price from $30 to about $90 - EGR function & passing the dyno test should be satisfactory. It wouldn't be too happy taking a blower off every two years just to make sure I have the appropriate factory...

    FRPP 99-04 GT Blower Kit

It might pass the sniffer, but if the blower isn't CARB legal it won't pass visual. I failed visual just having a C&L inlet tube on - it's all about knowing somebody. *What effective laws we have when a guy can blow pure air out the pipes with a non CARB legal plenum/t-body/etc and fail...

    Wrecked the stang yesterday...

I agree. I think that's what caused my accident. Still raining, I took a Jeep Cherokee through the same turn that got me and it too spun a tire just a bit.

    Wrecked the stang yesterday...

*See my story above* I also have a friend that had a v6 convertible Mustang that spun out and rolled into a ditch getting onto a freeway on-ramp. Even if he was stepping on it (he swears he wasn't), that car was a challenge to "break loose."

    Wrecked the stang yesterday...

Glad you ok. Last April the same thing happened to me. A freak rainstorm came out of nowhere, and while taking a turn at about 20mph my car spun out without warning. Traction control and ABS couldn't save me. Cracked my front bumper and a headlight flew out. Yay! :(

My car has a whine.... Need some help please.

*edit* I failed to read through and see this thread has been brought back from the end. Thanks for following up though Nuar, and congrats on identifying your issue. :nice:

California Emissions Question - If I move, get 2.2 KB, then move back

You could always play it off like you bought the car that way. I've tried to smog my car a few times with parts that weren't smog legal, and the most that happens is you get sent home.
