    Gear install kits

It only makes sense to replace everything while the rear end is torn apart. FWIW - Richmond gears are awesome. They are pre-fit on a computerized machine and the pinion depth and shim values engraved on the gears. This makes setting them up super easy if you have the pinion depth indicator...

    TwEECer with PIH & 9AL

Years ago I installed a PIH kit to use the '93 9AL computer. I've been reading on this forum about the TwEECer and other tuners and how they can maximize power. As a result, I have a couple questions. 1. Can I use the TwEECer with my PIH? 2. Will I gain much in my combo?

    "low coolant"--> where's it going?

I had a problem with leaking coolant into my #5 cylinder intake port for a few years. I had the same issue and could not diagnose it. I rebuilt my engine (long story there) and found the signs of the leak. I switched my intake and after my rebuild have not had any problems.

    4.6 swap

 If you want to try to do something really different and challenging, why not put in the modular engine but leave the 5.0 electronics. About the only thing that is really different is the ignition. An MSD can take care of that. I'm sure you'd have to make some wiring adapters and such...

Realistic life expectancy of a stroker motor on a D/D???

Life expectancy is hard to predict. A stroker motor will have faster piston ring wear and maybe a piston slap issue due to the shorter skirts. Other than that, the rest of the engine is unchanged. Obviously, the more you beat the engine, the shorter its life expectancy. I would say that you...

Found a connector on the ground :(?

:nice: Correct. You can see the fan plug on the left side of the pic about half way up. The coolant sensor plug is in the same segment of the harness.

    what parts first

Are you talking USD, Euros or British Pounds. 5,000 Pounds is like 10,000 USD. You can build one hell of an engine for that kind of money!:nice:

    Oxygenated gas

We've been using this stuff in southeast WI for years. The stuff just plain sucks! Your mileage goes down, it costs more and the oxygenation really doesn't work.

    Rear Main leaking, help?

The Teflon seals aren't as flexible as the rubber ones.

    timing question

The timing will have little to do with the idle quality. If you're running a cam with overlap, you'll have issues with idle quality. Give us more info on the cam. You can get away with as much as 16* BTD using 93 or 94 octane gas. Advancing the timing will give you a much more responsive bottom...

    need opinions.....

A cam will break, it won't bend. Is it possible that you have your injector plugs mis-wired?

Difference between 5.0 in fox and 94-95?

I add the PIH kit (93 computer) to my car ages ago and it did make a huge difference. However, with today's technology like the TwEECer and the added extra cubes, you would be better off tuning the stock computer.

Difference between 5.0 in fox and 94-95?

You might be able to gain a bit of hood clearance with the Fox intake and 351. I think that's what Saleen did. Ford did use the 94-95 Cobra intake on the "R" but also was forced to add a custom hood.

    E or B cam?

The B cam is really meant for a carburated car. The EEC IV computer doesn't like it due to the overlap and results in a poor idle (lots of stalling). I'd look elsewhere.

    Rear Main leaking, help?

+1 :nice: I installed a Teflon seal when I rebuilt my engine last year. Yes, they are a PITA to install but they last a long time. No matter what seal you use, make sure you install them with the smooth side facing out and the split side facing in. Also use some silicone grease to lube the seal...

    Starter took a ****!!!!!!!!!!!

The Fox starter will bolt in to our cars but I'm not sure about fitment issues with long tubes. The OEM SN95 starter is a gear reduction type and really is a nice design. You get tons more torque out of them. I actually picked up a new one off of eBay for less than a reman unit. It's been...

    A/C guys quick general question?

I wouldn't put oil on the outside of the core. That will result in an array of problems. The oil will slowly vaporize and collect on your windshield - can you say "Nasty haze". The oil will also attract dust which, over time, will clog your evaporator and you'll end up replacing it again. I...
