    actually 99+ weigh less due to the fiberglass trunk and other weight reducing things, i believe they are about 100 lbs lighter.

    i shifted at 5200-5300 out of first, second and third w/ stock gears powershifting. When i had that car i beat LOTS of 99+ stangs(ask jackie chan about this :p ), lt1s, and a couple ls1s in the 1/8

    i ran 14.1 at 97 in my 98gt with just pulleys, h pipe and timing adjuster. Usually though, the problem with people and non-pi cars is they dont know how to drive them, because they are friggin morons and shift at 6 grand. My 03 ran almost 1 second faster with just a few more mods than my old...

    Steeda U/D Pulleys

    ud pulleys are useless on 99+. i had them in my 98 and i felt a difference and the car made good power as it trapped 97mph with just h pipe, timing adjuster, and pulleys. ....but on my 03 i didnt feel anything or gain anything at the track. Luckily i only paid $20 for them.

    i have LTs and i have not needed a tune, and if you talk to any pro-racer they will tell you the same, that a tune is not necessary for just adding headers.
